The method further comprises determining, based on the first virtual machine identifier, whether a second virtual machine matched with the first virtual machine is present in the first virtual machine management platform. The method further comprises, in response to the second virtual machine being present, storing the backup records in association with a second virtual machine identifier related to the second virtual machine.
