Two ground-scattered light beams returning along the original direction of the two emergent beams are used as signal light together. Reference light is mixed with the signal light on a photosensitive surface of a photodetector of the reference beam LDV probe. The photodetector mixes the reference light and the signal light to form Doppler signals for transmission to a signal processing unit (10).
