In a first horizontal period, a positive voltage and a negative voltage according to a video signal are alternately applied to source signal lines, and then, reset voltages of +5V and −5V are respectively applied to source signal lines. As a result, the voltages of the source signal lines become +5V or −5V. In this state, when the source signal lines to which +5V and −5V are applied are short-circuited in the beginning of a second horizontal period, charge sharing is performed between the source signal lines, and the voltages of these source signal lines become 0V.
