Legal claims defining the scope of protection, as filed with the USPTO.
1. A method for controlling network handover of a user equipment (UE), the method comprising: obtaining, by a source Radio Network Controller (RNC) or source Base Station Controller (BSC), user type information of the UE from a serving GPRS support node (SGSN), the user type information of the UE is contained in an authentication vector of the UE obtained by the SGSN, the user type information varies from types of the authentication vector, the types of the authentication vector include a quintet type and a triplet type; determining, by the source RNC or the source BSC, not to perform a handover of the UE to an evolved universal mobile telecommunication system terrestrial radio access network (eUTRAN), based on the user type information of the UE obtained from the SGSN, in case that the type of the authentication vector is a triplet type.
2. A source Radio Network Controller (RNC), comprising: a receiver, configured to obtain user type information of the UE from a serving GPRS support node (SGSN), the user type information of the UE is contained in an authentication vector of the UE obtained by the SGSN, the user type information varies from types of the authentication vector, the types of the authentication vector include a quintet type and a triplet type; a processor, configured to determine not to perform a handover of the UE to an evolved universal mobile telecommunication system terrestrial radio access network (eUTRAN), based on the user type information of the UE obtained from the SGSN, in case that the type of the authentication vector is a triplet type.
3. A source Base Station Controller (BSC), comprising: a receiver, configured to obtain user type information of the UE from a serving GPRS support node (SGSN), the user type information of the UE is contained in an authentication vector of the UE obtained by the SGSN, the user type information varies from types of the authentication vector, the types of the authentication vector include a quintet type and a triplet type; a processor, configured to determine not to perform a handover of the UE to an evolved universal mobile telecommunication system terrestrial radio access network (eUTRAN), based on the user type information of the UE obtained from the SGSN, in case that the type of the authentication vector is a triplet type.
