Legal claims defining the scope of protection, as filed with the USPTO.
1. A computer implemented method using at least one hardware processor, comprising: storing, in a front end device, device characteristics of the front end device with corresponding time stamps; sending the stored device characteristics with the corresponding time stamps to a back end device; downloading a device identification generator from a plurality of device identification generators stored at a back end device; generating a first dynamic device identification for the front end device based on one or more device characteristics; sending the first dynamic device identification and a time stamp corresponding to the one or more device characteristics used to generate the first dynamic device identification to the back end device; generating, by the back end device, a second dynamic device identification for the front end device based on the device identification generator and the time stamp used by the front end device; comparing, using at least the one hardware processor, the first dynamic device identification and the second dynamic device identification to authenticate the front end device to the back end device; downloading, by the front end device, a device identification generator from the back end device; and selecting, by the back end device, the device identification generator for downloading from a repository of a plurality of different device identification generators; wherein at least some of the device identification generators have different combinations of device characteristics and mathematical operations.
2. The method according to claim 1 , comprising changing the dynamic device characteristics with time.
3. The method according to claim 1 , comprising: downloading an application from the back end device, wherein the generating of the first dynamic device identification is performed by the downloaded application.
4. The method according to claim 3 , wherein the generating of the first dynamic device identification is performed by a same application as downloaded by the front end device.
5. A computer implemented method using at least one hardware processor, comprising: storing, in a front end device, device characteristics of the front end device with corresponding time stamps; sending the stored device characteristics with the corresponding time stamps to a back end device; downloading a device identification generator from a plurality of device identification generators stored at a back end device; generating a first dynamic device identification for the front end device based on one or more device characteristics; sending the first dynamic device identification and a time stamp corresponding to the one or more device characteristics used to generate the first dynamic device identification to the back end device; generating, by the back end device, a second dynamic device identification for the front end device based on the device identification generator and the time stamp used by the front end device; comparing, using at least the one hardware processor, the first dynamic device identification and the second dynamic device identification to authenticate the front end device to the back end device; downloading, by the front end device, a device identification generator from the back end device; and selecting, by the back end device, the device identification generator for downloading from a repository of a plurality of different device identification generators; wherein at least some of the device identification generators have different combinations of seed numbers and device characteristics.
6. The method according to claim 5 , comprising changing the dynamic device characteristics with time.
7. The method according to claim 5 , comprising: downloading an application from the back end device, wherein the generating of the first dynamic device identification is performed by the downloaded application.
8. The method according to claim 7 , wherein the generating of the first dynamic device identification is performed by a same application as downloaded by the front end device.
