A door operator mechanism is integrated to automatically open or close the door based on commands received through the communicator. The oven's controller manages the camera, communicator, and door operator, transmitting captured images or video to the portable device and adjusting the door's position in response to user inputs. This system enables remote monitoring of cooking progress and hands-free door operation, improving convenience and safety for users.
2. The oven of claim 1 , wherein the door operator comprises a motor, a cam driven by the motor, a door latch connected to the cam and configured to be linearly moved by the cam, and a push bar connected to the door latch and configured to come into contact with the door.
3. The oven of claim 1 , wherein the controller controls the door operator to open the door to an angle at which the door is closable by a weight of the door and an elastic force of a hinge.
4. The oven of claim 1 , wherein the door operator is located to be more adjacent to a side surface of the cooking compartment than a central area of the cooking compartment.
5. The oven of claim 1 , wherein the camera is mounted to outside the door inclinedly and captures an image of the inside of the cooking compartment.
6. The oven of claim 1 , wherein the controller is electrically connected to the camera and the communicator through wires.
This invention relates to an oven system with enhanced monitoring and communication capabilities. The oven includes a camera for capturing images or video of the cooking process, a communicator for transmitting data to external devices, and a controller that manages these components. The controller is electrically connected to both the camera and the communicator through wired connections, ensuring reliable data transfer. The system allows users to remotely monitor cooking progress, receive alerts, and adjust settings via a connected device. The wired connections provide a stable and secure link between the controller and the other components, reducing the risk of signal interference or data loss. This design improves user convenience and cooking precision by enabling real-time oversight and control of the oven's operations. The invention addresses the need for better integration between cooking appliances and digital monitoring systems, particularly in environments where wireless connectivity may be unreliable or undesirable. The controller's wired connections ensure consistent performance, making the system suitable for both home and commercial kitchen applications.
7. The oven of claim 1 , further comprising a display which comprises a cooking-start button, wherein the controller controls the camera to be operated corresponding to reception of user input for selecting the cooking-start button.
8. The oven of claim 7 , further comprising a light configured to provide additional light, wherein the controller controls the light to be operated corresponding to operation of the camera.
9. The oven of claim 7 , wherein the controller is configured to transmit first control information corresponding to reception of user input for selecting the cooking-start button, to the portable device through the communicator.
10. The oven of claim 1 , wherein the controller is configured to transmit second control information corresponding to completion of cooking of the foodstuff to the portable device through the communicator.
11. The oven of claim 10 , wherein the controller controls the door operator to open the door according to third control information received from the portable device in response to the transmitted second control information.
12. The oven of claim 11 , further comprising a door opening or closing sensor, wherein the controller is configured to detect an opening of the door corresponding to the third control information using the door opening or closing sensor.
This invention relates to an oven with enhanced control features for managing cooking processes. The oven includes a controller that regulates cooking operations based on predefined control information. The controller is configured to execute different control actions depending on the state of the oven door. Specifically, the controller can detect when the door is opened or closed using a door opening or closing sensor. This detection allows the controller to adjust cooking parameters or initiate specific actions in response to door movement. For example, the controller may pause or modify cooking settings when the door is opened, ensuring safety and maintaining cooking accuracy. The door sensor provides real-time feedback to the controller, enabling dynamic adjustments to cooking processes. This feature improves user convenience and safety by automatically responding to door interactions without manual input. The oven may also include additional sensors or actuators to further enhance control over cooking operations. The overall system ensures precise cooking while accommodating user interactions with the door.
13. The oven of claim 11 , wherein when opening of the door is detected, the controller controls the camera to stop image-capturing.
14. The oven of claim 13 , wherein the controller is configured to transmit fourth control information corresponding to the opening of the door to the portable device through the communicator.
15. The oven of claim 14 , wherein the controller is configured to transmit fifth control information corresponding to completion of discharging high-temperature heat housed in the cooking compartment by the opening of the door, to the portable device through the communicator.
16. The oven of claim 1 , wherein the controller controls the door operator to open the door to a selected angle to discharge high-temperature air inside the cooking compartment for a selected period of time after a cooking is completed, and to close the door after the selected period of time is reached.
17. The oven of claim 1 , wherein the door operator comprises a motor and a door opener operated by the motor, and wherein the door opener is configured to move the door from a close position to an open position with a selected angle by contacting the door, and to be separated from the door to close the door by a weight of the door.
This invention relates to an oven with an automated door-opening mechanism designed to improve user convenience and safety. The oven includes a door that can be automatically opened and closed, addressing the problem of manual door operation, which can be inconvenient, especially when handling hot or heavy items. The door operator consists of a motor and a door opener, which is driven by the motor. The door opener engages the door to move it from a closed position to an open position at a selected angle, ensuring controlled and precise opening. Once the door reaches the desired angle, the door opener disengages, allowing the door to close under its own weight. This passive closing mechanism eliminates the need for additional motors or actuators, simplifying the design while ensuring reliable operation. The system enhances usability by reducing physical effort and improving safety, particularly in commercial or industrial settings where frequent door operation is required. The invention may also include features such as temperature sensors or user interfaces to further automate and optimize door operation based on cooking conditions.
18. The oven of claim 1 , wherein the door operator is controllable by a remote control so that the door is configured to open or close by the remote control.
