Legal claims defining the scope of protection, as filed with the USPTO.
1. A method implemented by a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU), the method comprising: the WTRU determining a primary downlink carrier; the WTRU determining one or more secondary downlink carriers; and the WTRU sending first hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ)-acknowledgement (ACK) information associated with the primary downlink carrier and second HARQ-ACK information associated with at least one carrier of the one or more secondary downlink carriers on an uplink control channel of an uplink carrier.
2. The method of claim 1 , wherein the uplink carrier comprises a primary uplink carrier, and the method further comprises: the WTRU determining one or more secondary uplink carriers; and the WTRU sending data on an uplink data channel associated with at least one of the one or more secondary uplink carriers.
3. The method of claim 2 , further comprising the WTRU sending pilot information on the at least one of the one or more secondary uplink carriers.
4. The method of claim 2 , wherein a number of the one or more secondary downlink carriers exceeds a number of the one or more secondary uplink carriers.
5. The method of claim 2 , further comprising the WTRU sending first uplink data via a first uplink data channel on the primary uplink carrier and second uplink data via a second uplink data channel of one of the one or more secondary uplink carriers.
6. The method of claim 2 , wherein each of the one or more secondary downlink carriers includes a downlink control channel that is used by the WTRU for receiving scheduling information for one of the one or more secondary uplink carriers.
7. The method of claim 1 , wherein each of the first HARQ-ACK information and the second HARQ-ACK information is associated with at least one of channel quality information or precoding information.
8. The method of claim 1 , further comprising the WTRU receiving a grant message via a downlink control channel of the primary downlink carrier or a downlink control channel of one of the one or more secondary downlink carriers, wherein the grant message includes a field that indicates which uplink carrier is to be used for transmitting in accordance with the grant message.
9. A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) comprising: a transmitter; and a processor configured to: determine a primary downlink carrier; determine one or more secondary downlink carriers; and send, via the transmitter, first hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ)-acknowledgement (ACK) information associated with the primary downlink carrier and second HARQ-ACK information associated with at least one carrier of the one or more secondary downlink carriers on an uplink control channel of an uplink carrier.
10. The WTRU of claim 9 , wherein, the uplink carrier comprises a primary uplink carrier, and the processor is further configured to: determine one or more secondary uplink carriers; and send data on an uplink data channel associated with at least one of the one or more secondary uplink carriers.
11. The WTRU of claim 10 , wherein the processor is further configured to send pilot information on the at least one of the one or more secondary uplink carriers.
12. The WTRU of claim 10 , wherein a number of the one or more secondary downlink carriers exceeds a number of the one or more secondary uplink carriers.
13. The WTRU of claim 10 , wherein the processor is further configured to send first uplink data via a first uplink data channel on the primary uplink carrier and second uplink data via a second uplink data channel of one of the one or more secondary uplink carriers.
14. The WTRU of claim 10 , wherein each of the one or more secondary downlink carriers includes a downlink control channel that is used by the WTRU to receive scheduling information for one of the one or more secondary uplink carriers.
15. The WTRU of claim 9 , wherein each of the first HARQ-ACK information and the second HARQ-ACK information is associated with at least one of channel quality information or precoding information.
16. The WTRU of claim 9 , wherein the processor is further configured to receive a grant message via a downlink control channel of the primary downlink carrier or a downlink control channel of one of the one or more secondary downlink carriers, wherein the grant message includes a field that indicates which uplink carrier is to be used for transmitting in accordance with the grant message.
17. The method of claim 1 , wherein the uplink carrier is a first uplink carrier, and the first HARQ-ACK information and the second HARQ-ACK information are sent via the first uplink carrier and not via a second uplink carrier.
18. The method of claim 1 , further comprising the WTRU receiving a radio resource control (RRC) message that indicates a plurality of downlink carriers for the WTRU and the uplink carrier, wherein the plurality of downlink carriers comprises the primary downlink carrier and the one or more secondary downlink carriers, and the uplink carrier is associated with at least one of the plurality of downlink carriers.
19. The WTRU of claim 9 , wherein the uplink carrier is a first uplink carrier, and the first HARQ-ACK information and the second HARQ-ACK information are sent via the first uplink carrier and not via a second uplink carrier.
20. The WTRU of claim 9 , wherein the WTRU further comprises a receiver, and the processor is further configured to receive, via the receiver, a radio resource control (RRC) message that indicates a plurality of downlink carriers for the WTRU and the uplink carrier, wherein the plurality of downlink carriers comprises the primary downlink carrier and the one or more secondary downlink carriers, and the uplink carrier is associated with at least one of the plurality of downlink carriers.
