1. A mobile terminal having a front surface, a rear surface, and side surfaces, comprising: a frame; a case forming a side surface of the side surfaces and defining an interior space of the mobile terminal, the side surface including a metal portion and a dielectric portion, the metal portion having a recessed portion, the dielectric portion disposed to cover the recessed portion, wherein the frame is provided at the interior space of the mobile terminal where a side of the frame is disposed to face the dielectric portion and the metal portion; a circuit board; an antenna module comprising: an antenna substrate; an array antenna disposed on one side of the antenna substrate and configured to radiate beam-formed wireless signals using a plurality of antenna elements disposed on the antenna substrate, wherein the circuit board is electrically coupled with the antenna module, where the array antenna is disposed between the side of the frame and the dielectric portion of the case, wherein the array antenna is disposed to face the dielectric portion of the case corresponding to a lateral side edge of the mobile terminal for radiating the beam-formed wireless signals, and wherein the array antenna configured to operate in a 5G communication system using a mmWave band.
2. The mobile terminal of claim 1 , further comprising a display disposed at a front surface of the mobile terminal, wherein the case forms the rear surface and the side surfaces of the mobile terminal.
3. The mobile terminal of claim 1 , wherein the antenna module further comprises an integrated circuit disposed on another side of the antenna substrate.
4. The mobile terminal of claim 1 , further comprising another antenna formed in the metal portion, wherein the another antenna is configured to operate in a 4G communication system.
5. The mobile terminal of claim 1 , wherein the metal portion of the case formed of a metal material is configured to block the beam-formed wireless signals from the array antenna to radiate therethrough.
6. The mobile terminal of claim 1 , wherein the array antenna is a first antenna, and the mobile terminal further comprises a second antenna that is another array antenna disposed at a rear side of the case for radiating second beam-formed wireless signals from second array elements of the second antenna, wherein the second beam-formed wireless signals are radiated through the rear side of the case.
7. The mobile terminal of claim 1 , further comprising: a first connector mounted on the circuit board including the integrated circuit; a second connector mounted on the antenna substrate on which the array antenna is disposed and configured to engage with the first connector; wherein the array antenna is a first antenna coupled to the dielectric portion or coupled to the frame facing the dielectric portion.

The mobile terminal of claim 7 , wherein the mobile terminal further comprises a second antenna that is another array antenna, and the integrated circuit controls the first antenna to radiate beam-formed wireless signals at the lateral side edge of the mobile terminal and the second antenna to radiate beam-formed wireless signals at a rear side of the mobile terminal.
9. The mobile terminal of claim 1 , further comprising an interposer configured to support the array antenna and comprising a via for electrical connection with the array antenna, wherein the interposer is disposed to surround the integrated circuit and is between a flexible printed circuit board and the array antenna.

The mobile terminal of claim 1 , wherein the array antenna is a first antenna, and the mobile terminal further comprises a second antenna that is another array antenna; wherein the first antenna is disposed to face a first surface of the case and configured to radiate beam-formed wireless signals through the first surface, and wherein the second antenna is disposed to face a second surface of the case and configured to radiate beam-formed wireless signals through the second surface of the case.
11. The mobile terminal of claim 10 , wherein the first surface of the case corresponds to the lateral side edge of the mobile terminal and the second surface of the case corresponds to a rear side of the mobile terminal.
12. The mobile terminal of claim 7 , wherein the integrated circuit is mounted on the circuit board and configured to control transmission and reception of wireless signals of the first and second antennas.
13. A mobile terminal having a front surface, a rear surface, and side surfaces, comprising: a case forming a side surface and defining an interior space of the mobile terminal, the side surface of the case including a metal portion and a dielectric portion, the metal portion having a recessed portion at one of the side surfaces of the mobile terminal, and the dielectric portion disposed to cover the recessed portion, and the interior space of the mobile terminal including a frame disposed to face the dielectric portion and the metal portion; a circuit board a first array antenna configured to radiate beam-formed wireless signals using a first plurality of antenna elements on a first antenna substrate; a second array antenna configured to radiate second beam-formed wireless signals using a second plurality of antenna elements; and wherein the circuit board is electrically coupled with the first array antenna and the second array antenna, wherein the first array antenna is disposed between the frame and the dielectric portion of the case and disposed to face the dielectric portion of the case corresponding to a lateral side edge of the mobile terminal for radiating the beam-formed wireless signals wherein the second array antenna is disposed to face a rear side of the case corresponding to a rear surface of the mobile terminal and configured to radiate the second beam-formed wireless signals through the rear side of the case, and wherein each of the first array antenna and the second array antenna is configured to operate in a 5G communication system using a mmWave band.
14. The mobile terminal of claim 13 , further comprising another antenna formed in the metal portion configured to operate in a 4G communication system.
15. The mobile terminal of claim 13 , wherein the beam-formed wireless signals are radiated through the first array antenna including the first plurality of antenna elements arranged on the first antenna substrate to face the lateral side edge of the mobile terminal.
16. The mobile terminal of claim 13 , wherein the second beam-formed wireless signals are radiated through the second array antenna including the second plurality of antenna elements arranged on a second antenna substrate disposed at the rear side of the case.
17. The mobile terminal of claim 13 , further comprising: a first connector mounted on the circuit board disposed inside the case and including the integrating circuit; a second connector configured to engage with the first connector and mounted the first antenna substrate on which the first array antenna is disposed.
18. The mobile terminal of claim 13 , wherein the metal portion of the case formed of a metal material is configured to block the beam-formed wireless signals from the first array antenna to radiate therethrough.
