Legal claims defining the scope of protection, as filed with the USPTO.
1. A method for performing, by a user equipment (UE), a beam-related reporting in a wireless communication system, the method comprising: receiving, from a base station, resource setting information, wherein the resource setting information includes a plurality of resource configurations for a plurality of channel state information-reference signal (CSI-RS) resources, with each resource configuration corresponding to each CSI-RS resource, wherein the plurality of CSI-RS resources comprise (i) a non-zero power CSI-RS resource, (ii) a zero power CSI-RS resource, and (iii) a non-zero power CSI-RS resource for interference, wherein based on the plurality of CSI-RS resources being configured for a beam management, each of the plurality of resource configurations includes indication information for a subcarrier location of each CSI-RS resource, and wherein a resource configuration corresponding to the non-zero power CSI-RS resource for interference includes an indicator indicating that the non-zero power CSI-RS resource for interference is related to interference cancellation; receiving, from the base station, the plurality of CSI-RS resources based on the resource setting information, wherein the plurality of CSI-RS resources are repeatedly received via different reception (RX) beam candidates of the UE; and transmitting, to the base station, a beam-related report generated based on the plurality of CSI-RS resources.
2. The method of claim 1 , wherein the indication information comprises (i) offset information of a first subcarrier to which each CSI-RS resource is mapped and (ii) subcarrier spacing information to which each CSI-RS resource is mapped.
3. The method of claim 2 , wherein the offset information is configured differently for each CSI-RS resource.
4. The method of claim 3 , wherein the subcarrier spacing information is configured based on a maximum number of the RX beam candidates.
5. The method of claim 2 , wherein the plurality of CSI-RS resources are received repeatedly within specific time duration.
6. The method of claim 5 , wherein the specific time duration is one orthogonal frequency division multiple (OFDM) symbol duration.
7. The method of claim 6 , further comprising: selecting at least one RX beam among the different RX beam candidates based on the reception result.
8. The method of claim 7 , further comprising: transmitting, to the base station, capability information including information for a maximum number of the different RX beam candidates.
9. The method of claim 8 , wherein a number of times that the plurality of CSI-RS resources are received repeatedly within the specific time duration is determined based on the maximum number of the different RX beam candidates.
10. The method of claim 2 , wherein a number of times that the plurality of CSI-RS resources are repeated within one orthogonal frequency division multiple (OFDM) symbol is determined based on the subcarrier spacing information.
11. The method of claim 1 , wherein the non-zero power CSI-RS resource for interference is a CSI-RS resource configured for a different UE.
12. A user equipment (UE) configured to perform a beam-related reporting in a wireless communication system, the UE comprising: a radio frequency (RF) transceiver; and a processor controlling the RF transceiver, wherein the processor is configured to: receive, from a base station via the RF transceiver, resource setting information; wherein the resource setting information includes a plurality of resource configurations for a plurality of channel state information-reference signal (CSI-RS) resources, with each resource configuration corresponding to each CSI-RS resource, wherein the plurality of CSI-RS resources comprise (i) a non-zero power CSI-RS resource, (ii) a zero power CSI-RS resource, and (iii) a non-zero power CSI-RS resource for interference, wherein based on the plurality of CSI-RS resources being configured for a beam management, each of the plurality of resource configurations includes indication information for a subcarrier location of each CSI-RS resource, and wherein a resource configuration corresponding to the non-zero power CSI-RS resource for interference includes an indicator indicating that the non-zero power CSI-RS resource for interference is related to interference cancellation; and receive, from a base station via the RF transceiver, the plurality of CSI-RS resources based on the resource setting information, wherein the plurality of CSI-RS resources are repeatedly received via different reception (RX) beam candidates of the UE; and transmit, to the base station via the RF transceiver, a beam-related report generated based on the plurality of CSI-RS resources.
13. The UE of claim 12 , wherein the plurality of CSI-RS resources are received repeatedly within specific time duration.
14. The UE of claim 12 , wherein the indication information comprises (i) offset information of a first subcarrier to which each CSI-RS resource is mapped and (ii) subcarrier spacing information to which each CSI-RS resource is mapped.
15. The UE of claim 14 , wherein the offset information is configured differently for each CSI-RS resource.
