10. The method of claim 1, wherein selecting an access resource of the plurality of access resources based on the ranked scoring information includes selecting the access resource associated with a highest score of the ranked scoring information.

11. The method of claim 1, wherein facilitating processing of the data access request by the selected access resource includes forwarding the data access request as a data access message to the selected access resource.

13. The method of claim 1, wherein the plurality of access resources of the storage network include a plurality of distributed storage and task (DST) processing units or a plurality of computing devices having a DST client module.
