Legal claims defining the scope of protection, as filed with the USPTO.
2. The apparatus of claim 1, wherein the biofeedback stimulus includes one or more of sinusoidal signals of pure tone, spread spectrum excitation, or other arbitrary periodic or quasi-periodic signals.
3. The apparatus of claim 1, where biofeedback stimulus includes binaural tones.
4. The apparatus of claim 1, wherein the biofeedback stimulus is one or more of a tactile stimulus, a temperature stimulus, an audio stimulus or a visual stimulus.
6. The method of claim 5, further comprising: outputting an indication of additional brainwave signals that correspond to the range of frequencies corresponding to the biofeedback stimulus.
7. The method of claim 6, wherein the indication is a biofeedback signal.
8. The method of claim 5, further comprising: determining that the brain state is an awakening state based at least in part on detecting a transition of a dominance of theta brainwaves to a dominance of alpha brainwaves.
10. The method of claim 9, further comprising: accepting input that describes a dream, wherein the characteristics are indicative of an emotional state.
11. The method of claim 9, further comprising: providing a further biofeedback stimulus from the effector for entrainment to re-sleep the user.
12. The method of claim 9, further comprising: detecting non-movement of a body part of the user, and, determining a further control signal, based at least in part on the detected non-movement, to provide a further biofeedback stimulus from the effector for entrainment to re-sleep the user.
13. The method of claim 5, further comprising: detecting a transition from an awake state to the sleep state.
14. The method of claim 5, further comprising: detecting a transition from the sleep state to an awake state.
15. The method of claim 5, wherein the determining that the brain state of the user is the sleep state is based at least in part on one or more of a heart rate of the user or a motion vibration sensed from the user.
16. A non-transitory computer readable medium comprising a computer readable memory storing computer executable instructions thereon that when executed by a computer cause the computer to perform the method of claim 5.
