Legal claims defining the scope of protection, as filed with the USPTO.
2. The power tool of claim 1, wherein the controller is configured to operate the power tool in the recording mode of the record and/or playback mode by generating a recorded motor parameter by recording the parameter of the BLDC motor while the BLDC motor is operating.
3. The power tool of claim 2, wherein the controller is configured to stop recording the recorded motor parameter in response to one of (i) the BLDC motor being deactivated and (ii) after a predetermined period of time has elapsed while the BLDC motor is operating.
4. The power tool of claim 2, wherein the controller is configured to transmit, via the transceiver, the recorded motor parameter to the external device.
5. The power tool of claim 2, wherein the controller is configured to operate the power tool in the playback mode of the record and/or playback mode by controlling the switching network to drive the BLDC motor in accordance with the recorded motor parameter in response to the trigger being actuated.
6. The power tool of claim 1, wherein the controller is configured to operate the power tool in the playback mode of the record and/or playback mode by controlling the switching network to drive the BLDC motor in accordance with a second recorded motor parameter in response to the trigger being actuated, wherein the second recorded motor parameter is received from the external device via the transceiver and wherein the second recorded motor parameter was recorded on a second power tool.
7. The power tool of claim 1, wherein the parameter of the BLDC motor includes at least one selected from a group of a duty cycle indicating trigger pull, a BLDC motor speed, a BLDC motor torque, a BLDC motor power, and a number of impact activations.
9. The method of claim 8, wherein controlling the power tool to operate in accordance with the selected mode of the record and/or playback mode includes controlling the power tool to operate in the recording mode, wherein operating in the recording mode includes generating a recorded motor parameter by recording the parameter of the BLDC motor while the BLDC motor is operating.
10. The method of claim 9, further comprising stopping the recording of the recorded motor parameter in response to one of (i) the BLDC motor being deactivated and (ii) after a predetermined period of time has elapsed while the BLDC motor is operating.
11. The method of claim 9, further comprising transmitting, via the transceiver, the recorded motor parameter to the external device.
12. The method of claim 9, wherein controlling the power tool to operate in accordance with the selected mode of the record and/or playback mode includes controlling the power tool to operate in the playback mode, wherein operating in the playback mode includes controlling, with the controller, the switching network to drive the BLDC motor in accordance with the recorded motor parameter in response to the trigger being actuated.
13. The method of claim 8, wherein controlling the power tool to operate in accordance with the selected mode of the record and/or playback mode includes controlling the power tool to operate in the playback mode, wherein operating in the playback mode includes controlling the switching network to drive the BLDC motor in accordance with a second recorded motor parameter in response to the trigger being actuated, wherein the second recorded motor parameter is received from the external device via the transceiver and wherein the second recorded motor parameter was recorded on a second power tool.
14. The method of claim 8, wherein the parameter of the BLDC motor includes at least one selected from a group of a duty cycle indicating trigger pull, a BLDC motor speed, a BLDC motor torque, a BLDC motor power, and a number of impact activations.
16. The power tool communication system of claim 15, wherein the second controller is configured to operate the power tool in the recording mode of the record and/or playback mode by generating a recorded motor parameter by recording the parameter of the BLDC motor while the BLDC motor is operating.
17. The power tool communication system of claim 16, wherein the second controller is configured to stop recording the recorded motor parameter in response to one of (i) the BLDC motor being deactivated and (ii) after a predetermined period of time has elapsed while the BLDC motor is operating.
19. The power tool communication system of claim 16, wherein the second controller is configured to operate the power tool in the playback mode of the record and/or playback mode by controlling the switching network to drive the BLDC motor in accordance with the recorded motor parameter in response to the trigger being actuated.
20. The power tool communication system of claim 15, wherein the second controller is configured to operate the power tool in the playback mode of the record and/or playback mode by controlling the switching network to drive the BLDC motor in accordance with a second recorded motor parameter in response to the trigger being actuated, wherein the second recorded motor parameter is received from the external device via the second transceiver and wherein the second recorded motor parameter was recorded on a second power tool.
