The system of claim 1, wherein the navigation data includes historical navigation data and current navigation data, and wherein each of the historical navigation data and the current navigation data comprises the one or more navigation metrics including at least the link parameters and the loss of sale metric.

13. The method of claim 10, wherein the link parameters include at least one of a placement of a link, a number of times a link is displayed to a user navigating the website, clicks on the link, an advertiser associated with the link, or an advertisement type associated with the link.

14. The method of claim 10, wherein the loss of sale covariate is selected by the computing system using a comparison of website interaction between a control group of users shown displayed links and a treatment group of users not shown displayed links.

15. The method of claim 10, wherein the loss of sale model is usable for converting a variable specified in terms of the loss of sale metric to a variable specified in terms of the link parameters.
