2. The credential provisioning method according to claim 1, wherein the trusted server is configured to operate on a virtual device platform and, once the mutual secure connection is established, the client application is operable to utilize resources of the virtual device platform.

4. The credential provisioning method according to claim 1, wherein the certificate authority operates internal or external to a secure network within which the credential provisioning server operates.

5. The credential provisioning method according to claim 1, wherein the client application on the client device receives the temporary password contained in the request for the user via an email, a text message, or a QR code.

6. The credential provisioning method according to claim 5, wherein the email, the text message, or the QR code is generated via an administrator interface of the server.
