Legal claims defining the scope of protection, as filed with the USPTO.
2. The system of claim 1 wherein the switching device comprises more than one magnet configured to hold the second case in a fixed position adjacent to the third case.
3. The system of claim 1 where the portable switching device comprises a battery.
4. The system of claim 1 wherein the stand comprises a circular component that is disk shaped wherein the first magnet is embedded within the circular component.
5. The system of claim 4 wherein the circular component is a protrusion that is disk shaped with a side profile that is rectangular.
6. The system of claim 1 wherein the portable electronic device comprises a switch or sensor.
7. The system of claim 6 wherein the switch or sensor is responsive to the presence of the portable switching device when the portable switching device is applied to the back of the third case and is protecting two or more sides of the third case.
8. The system of claim 7 wherein the portable switching device activates, actuates, or deactivates the sensor.
9. The system of claim 1 wherein the portable switching device includes a second circuit.
10. The system of claim 9 wherein the portable switching device includes a battery.
11. The system of claim 9 wherein the stand is configured to lie down.
12. The system of claim 1 wherein the switching device is an element selected from the group consisting of a: a protective phone case, a toy, doll, game, ball, lens, remote control, flash drive, solid state recording device, laser, gps, and combinations thereof.
13. The system of claim 1 wherein the portable switching device, the portable electronic device, and the stand each further comprises a magnetic coupling component that is substantially circular with an outer diameter that is substantially the same for all three magnetic coupling components.
14. The system of claim 13 wherein the first case and the second case rotate or swivel while magnetically coupled while the second case provides protection for two or more sides of the third case.
15. The system of claim 14 wherein the second case provides protection for three or more sides of the third case.
16. The system of claim 1 wherein the portable electronic device activated by the portable switching device applying a magnetic field to the electronic device while the second case is providing protection to two or more sides of the third case.
17. The system of claim 5 wherein the circular protrusion is fixed to a base having a diameter less than that of the circular protrusion.
