Legal claims defining the scope of protection, as filed with the USPTO.
2. The computer-implemented method of claim 1, wherein the first portion of the GUI includes a forecast definition presented as a forecast natural language expression that includes a description of a forecast parameter dispersed in line with forecast parameter context providing context for the forecast parameters within the forecast natural language expression, the description selectable to replace the description with a selected value of the forecast parameter in the forecast natural language expression.
3. The computer-implemented method of claim 2, wherein the forecast parameter is a data source parameter, a metric parameter, a forecasting algorithm parameter, a timespan or length of time parameter, a time interval parameter, a holdback parameter, a confidence level parameter, or a combination thereof.
4. The computer-implemented method of claim 1, further comprising, upon a user selection of one of the set of one or more selectable parameters, causing display of one or more parameter value options associated with the selected parameter, the one or more parameter value options being selectable by a user to input the one or more parameter values.
5. The computer-implemented method of claim 4, wherein the one or more parameter value options are based on a previously selected parameter value.
6. The computer-implemented method of claim 1, wherein the forecasted data point comprises an earliest forecasted data point in the forecast time series set for which the alert definition is expected to be satisfied.
9. The computer-implemented method of claim 1 further comprising determining a time range associated with the forecasted data point, the time range indicating a range of time during which the alert definition is expected to be satisfied.
10. The computer-implemented method of claim 1 further comprising determining a forecasted value expected to occur at a particular date, a particular time, or a particular date and time.
14. The one or more computer-readable storage media of claim 13, wherein the first portion of the GUI includes a forecast definition presented as a forecast natural language expression that includes a description of a forecast parameter dispersed in line with forecast parameter context providing context for the forecast parameters within the forecast natural language expression, the description selectable to replace the description with a selected value of the forecast parameter in the forecast natural language expression.
18. The computer-implemented method of claim 4, wherein the one or more parameter value options are based on a particular data set.
19. The computer-implemented method of claim 1, wherein the second portion of the graphical user interface further comprises a warning indicator indicating a recommendation to extend a historical time range from which data is forecasted to improve accuracy.
