15. The UV disinfecting charger of claim 13 including a sensor system, wherein the disinfection control system is configured to halt disinfection in response to detection of a user in proximity to the UV disinfecting charger.
16. The UV disinfecting charger of claim 13 wherein the UV source includes a first UV energy source and a second UV energy source, wherein the first UV energy source is located below the support surface and wherein said second UV energy source is located above the portable electrical device.
