2

2. The computing device as recited in claim 1, the one or more processors further configured to generate the graphical representation of the volume with least one interactive element presented in the user interface and associated with the graphical representation of the volume, the at least one interactive element movable via at least one user input for adjusting at least one of a size or position of the graphical representation of the volume relative to the scan target, the at least one interactive element corresponding to coordinates in the 3D space.

3

3. The computing device as recited in claim 2, the one or more processors further configured to receive one or more user inputs to the interactive element associated with the graphical representation of the volume to change at least one of the size of the position of the graphical representation of the volume with respect to the image of the scan target prior to sending the information to the UAV.

4

4. The computing device as recited in claim 1, wherein the display includes a touchscreen, and the interactive element is movable by a user touch input for changing at least one of the size or position of the graphical representation of the volume.

9

9. The computing device as recited in claim 1, wherein the at least one user input comprises at least one of: drawing a loop around at least a portion of the image of the scan target, drawing a representation of a polygon around at least a portion of the image of the scan target, or selecting a portion of the image of the scan target.

10

10. The computing device as recited in claim 1, the one or more processors further configured to present the graphical representation of the volume in the user interface with a plurality of interactive elements for adjusting at least one of a location of an edge or a location of a corner of the graphical representation of the volume, wherein receiving at least one user input indicating at least one point in the perimeter or edge of the volume for encompassing the scan target comprises receiving a plurality of user inputs to move the plurality of interactive elements to position the graphical representation of the volume encompassing the scan target.

12

12. The method as recited in claim 11, further comprising generating the graphical representation of the volume with least one interactive element presented in the user interface and associated with the graphical representation of the volume, the at least one interactive element movable via at least one user input for adjusting at least one of a size or position of the graphical representation of the volume relative to the scan target, the at least one interactive element corresponding to coordinates in the 3D space.

13

13. The method as recited in claim 12, further comprising receiving one or more user inputs to the interactive element associated with the graphical representation of the volume to change at least one of the size of the position of the graphical representation of the volume with respect to the image of the scan target prior to sending the information to the UAV.

18

18. The method as recited in claim 11, wherein the at least one user input comprises at least one of: drawing a loop around at least a portion of the image of the scan target, drawing a representation of a polygon around at least a portion of the image of the scan target, or selecting a portion of the image of the scan target.

19

19. The method as recited in claim 11, further comprising presenting the graphical representation of the volume in the user interface with a plurality of interactive elements for adjusting at least one of a location of an edge or a location of a corner of the graphical representation of the volume, wherein receiving at least one user input indicating at least one point in a perimeter or edge of the volume for encompassing the scan target comprises receiving a plurality of user inputs to move the plurality of interactive elements to position the graphical representation of the volume encompassing the scan target.
