Legal claims defining the scope of protection, as filed with the USPTO.
2. The method of claim 1, wherein registering the first SIM comprises transmitting, via the transmitter, an indication of the first SIM and the second SIM to the first network.
3. The method of claim 1, wherein the indication of the communication preference to the second network indicates one or more paging occasion collisions associated with the first SIM and the second SIM.
6. The method of claim 1, wherein the indication of the communication preference indicates communication gaps associated with the first SIM and the second SIM.
8. The method of claim 1, wherein the indication of the communication pattern indicates gaps corresponding to communications with the first network.
10. The network access node of claim 9, wherein the indication of the communication preference comprises a gap preference of the user equipment.
11. The network access node of claim 9, wherein the indication of the communication preference is associated with causing non-conflicting communications with the first network based on communications between the second network and the user equipment.
12. The network access node of claim 9, wherein the processing circuitry is configured to receive a multi-SIM indication from the user equipment signaling that the user equipment comprises the first SIM and the second SIM via an access stratum (AS) signaling.
13. The network access node of claim 9, wherein the first network is configured as a New Radio (NR) network, and the second network is configured as a Long Term Evolution (LTE) radio access network.
16. The method of claim 15, wherein the indication of the communication preference comprises information associated with the second SIM as the communication preference, and generating the communication pattern comprises generating an indication of communication gaps corresponding to the first SIM based on the information associated with the second SIM.
17. The method of claim 15, wherein generating the communication pattern based on the communication preference comprises receiving, via the receiver, an indication of a communication gap pattern associated with the second SIM from the user equipment, the user equipment being configured to generate the communication gap pattern associated with the second SIM independent of the first SIM.
19. The method of claim 18, wherein the communication gap pattern comprises an indication of a connected mode discontinuous receive mode (C-DRX) gap.
20. The method of claim 18, comprising communicating, via the transmitter or the receiver, with the user equipment using the first SIM during a transmission period associated with the communication gap pattern without interrupting a transmission between the user equipment and the second network.
