6. The computer-implemented method of claim 1, wherein sorting the plurality of candidate family trees is based on the birth-year probability if the genetic probabilities of two candidate family trees are within a similarity threshold.

The computer-implemented method of claim 1, wherein sorting the plurality of candidate family trees is first based on genetic likelihoods associated with the plurality of candidate family trees and, secondarily, the birth-year probabilities of the proposed relationships associated with the plurality of candidate family trees.

The computer-implemented method of claim 9, wherein the determined confidence level is considered high confidence for a candidate family tree that is associated with a one-meiosis-event relationship if the determined confidence level is the highest determined confidence out of determined confidences of the plurality of candidate family trees.
