1

1. A method for a cellular router to control data flow by using a single I/O pin, the method comprising: a. receiving a first message originated from a wireless communication module (WCM); b. selecting, based on the first message, a subscriber identification module (SIM) interface; c. configuring an input-output (I/O) pin to output for sending a second message; d. sending the second message to a SIM connected to the SIM interface through the SIM interface; e. configuring the I/O pin to input for receiving a third message; and f. receiving the third message from the SIM through the SIM interface; wherein: the cellular router is configured to respond to the first message using cached information; the cached information is cached without phrasing; and the I/O pin is connected to a logic gate and the SIM interface.

2

2. The method of claim 1, further comprising: sending a fourth message.

3

3. The method of claim 2, wherein the fourth message is sent to the WCM.

4

4. The method of claim 1, wherein the cached information is stored in a storage unit of the cellular router.

5

5. The method of claim 1, further comprising: receiving a reset message originated from the WCM; and resetting the SIM by sending a reset signal to the SIM.

6

6. The method of claim 5, wherein the reset message is received if a first condition is satisfied.

7

7. The method of claim 1, wherein the second message is based on the first message.

8

8. The method of claim 1, wherein the WCM and the SIM are located in different regions.

9

9. The method of claim 1, wherein the I/O pin is configured to input or output by sending a byte or a signal.

10

10. A method for a cellular router controlling data flow by using a single input-output (I/O) pin, the method comprising: a. receiving a first message originated from a wireless communication module (WCM); b. selecting, based on the first message, a subscriber identification module (SIM) interface; c. configuring the input-output (I/O) pin to output for sending a second message; d. sending the second message through the SIM interface, wherein the SIM interface is connected to a SIM; e. configuring the I/O pin to input for receiving a third message; f. receiving the third message from the SIM through the SIM interface; and g. responding to the third message by using cached information stored in a storage unit; wherein: the cached information is cached without phrasing; and the I/O pin is connected to a logic gate and the SIM interface.

11

11. The method of claim 10, wherein the second message is based on the first message.

12

12. A cellular router, comprising: a plurality of subscriber identification module (SIM) interfaces; a plurality of wireless communication modules (WCMs); at least one processing unit; and at least one non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing program instructions executable by the at least one processing unit for: a. receiving a first message originated from one of the plurality of WCMs; b. selecting, based on the first message, a SIM interface in the plurality of SIM interfaces; c. configuring an input-output (I/O) pin to output for sending a second message; d. sending the second message through the SIM interface, wherein the SIM interface is connected to a SIM; e. configuring the I/O pin to input for receiving a third message; and f. receiving the third message from the SIM through the SIM interface; wherein: the cellular router is configured to respond to the first message using cached information; the cached information is cached without phrasing; and the I/O pin is connected to a logic gate and the SIM interface.

13

13. The cellular router of claim 12, wherein the at least one non-transitory computer-readable storage medium stores program instructions executable by the at least one processing unit for sending a fourth message.

14

14. The cellular router of claim 13, wherein the fourth message is sent to the WCM.

15

15. The cellular router of claim 12, wherein the cached information is stored in the at least one non-transitory computer-readable storage medium.

16

16. The cellular router of claim 12, wherein the at least one non-transitory computer-readable storage medium stores program instructions executable by the at least one processing unit for: receiving a reset message originated from the WCM; and resetting the SIM by sending a reset signal to the SIM.

17

17. The cellular router of claim 16, wherein the reset message is received if a first condition is satisfied.

18

18. The cellular router of claim 12, wherein the second message is based on the first message.

19

19. The cellular router of claim 12, wherein the WCM and the SIM are located in different regions.

20

20. The cellular router of claim 12, wherein the I/O pin is configured as output by sending a byte or a signal.
