Legal claims defining the scope of protection, as filed with the USPTO.
1. A display method performed by a display control device that operates in conjunction with a mobile object, the display method comprising: generating first surrounding information and second surrounding information, the first surrounding information indicating a surrounding condition of the mobile object based on two-dimensional information, the second surrounding information indicating the surrounding condition of the mobile object based on three-dimensional data; determining which one of the first surrounding information and the second surrounding information is to be displayed, based on brightness of surroundings of the mobile object; and controlling a display to display the one of the first surrounding information and the second surrounding information, wherein the display is further controlled to switch information to be displayed between the first surrounding information and the second surrounding information, based on a change in the brightness of surroundings of the mobile object.
2. The display method according to claim 1, wherein in the determining, the first surrounding information is determined to be displayed when the brightness of the surroundings of the mobile object is higher than a predetermined brightness, and the second surrounding information is determined to be displayed when the brightness of the surroundings of the mobile object is lower than the predetermined brightness.
3. A display control device that operates in conjunction with a mobile object, the display control device comprising: at least one processor configured to: generate first surrounding information and second surrounding information, the first surrounding information indicating a surrounding condition of the mobile object based on two-dimensional information, the second surrounding information indicating the surrounding condition of the mobile object based on three-dimensional data; and determine which one of the first surrounding information and the second surrounding information is to be displayed, based on brightness of surroundings of the mobile object; and display control circuitry configured to control a display to show a video based on the one of the first surrounding information and the second surrounding information, wherein the display control circuitry is further configured to control the display to switch information to be displayed between the first surrounding information and the second surrounding information, based on a change in the brightness of surroundings of the mobile object.
4. The display control device according to claim 3, wherein the at least one processor determines that the first surrounding information is to be displayed when the brightness of the surroundings of the mobile object is higher than a predetermined brightness, and determines that the second surrounding information is to be displayed when the brightness of the surroundings of the mobile object is lower than the predetermined brightness.
5. A non-transitory computer readable recording medium having recorded thereon a program for causing a computer to execute a display method performed by a display control device that operates in conjunction with a mobile object, wherein the program causes the computer to execute: generating first surrounding information and second surrounding information, the first surrounding information indicating a surrounding condition of the mobile object based on two-dimensional information, the second surrounding information indicating the surrounding condition of the mobile object based on three-dimensional data; determining which one of the first surrounding information and the second surrounding information is to be displayed, based on brightness of surroundings of the mobile object; and controlling a display to display the one of the first surrounding information and the second surrounding information, wherein the display is further controlled to switch information to be displayed between the first surrounding information and the second surrounding information, based on a change in the brightness of surroundings of the mobile object.
6. The recording medium according to claim 5, wherein in the determining, the first surrounding information is determined to be displayed when the brightness of the surroundings of the mobile object is higher than a predetermined brightness, and the second surrounding information is determined to be displayed when the brightness of the surroundings of the mobile object is lower than the predetermined brightness.
