1

1. A method of operating a display device, the display device including a local tab point line, a first switch configured to connect a first gamma line to the local tab point line according to a tab division enable signal, and a second switch configured to connect a second gamma line to the local tab point line according to the tab division enable signal, the method comprising: generating a switch signal for a fast gamma settling circuit; generating an enable signal by comparing previous channel data with current channel data; and generating the tab division enable signal using the switch signal and the enable signal.

2

2. The method of claim 1, wherein the generating the enable signal includes determining an amount of data change by a counter.

3

3. The method of claim 2, wherein the counter counts differences of the previous channel data and the current channel data.

4

4. The method of claim 3, wherein the enable signal is generated when a count value of the counter is higher than a reference value.

5

5. The method of claim 1, wherein generating a left MSB comparison signal and right MSB comparison signal using the previous channel data and the current channel data.

6

6. The method of claim 5, wherein the tab division enable signal is generated when both the left MSB comparison signal and the right MSB comparison signal have high level.

7

7. The method of claim 6, wherein the tab division enable signal has a low level for a predetermined time in response to a data enable signal.

8

8. The method of claim 1, wherein the generating the switch signal includes generating the switch signal in response to a data enable signal from an external device.

9

9. The method of claim 1, wherein the enable signal is generated using Most Significant Bits (MSB) changes between the previous channel data and the current channel data.

10

10. The method of claim 1, wherein each of the first switch and the second switch comprises a transmission gate.

11

11. A display device comprising: a plurality of gamma lines corresponding to different gamma voltages, wherein the plurality of gamma lines comprises a first gamma line and a second gamma line; a plurality of local tab point lines arranged between the first gamma line and the second gamma line, wherein the first gamma line and the second gamma line are adjacent; a plurality of first switches configured to connect the first gamma line to a corresponding local tab point line among the plurality of local tab point lines according to a corresponding tab division enable signal; and a plurality of second switches configured to connect the second gamma line to the corresponding local tab point line according to the corresponding tab division enable signal, wherein the corresponding tab division enable signal is generated using a switch signal and an enable signal, wherein the switch signal is generated for a corresponding fast gamma settling circuit, and the enable signal is generated by comparing previous channel data with current channel data.

12

12. The display device of claim 11, wherein further comprising a counter configured to count differences of the previous channel data and the current channel data.

13

13. The display device of claim 12, wherein the enable signal is generated when a count value of the counter is greater than a reference value.

14

14. The display device of claim 11, wherein the switch signal is generated in response to a data enable signal from an external device.

15

15. The display device of claim 11, wherein the enable signal is generated using Most Significant Bits (MSB) changes between the previous channel data and the current channel data.

16

16. A display device comprising: a first tab division switch block corresponding to red gamma lines; a second tab division switch block corresponding to green gamma lines; and a third tab division switch block corresponding to blue gamma lines, wherein each of the first tab division switch block, the second tab division switch block and the third tab division switch block comprises: a plurality of gamma lines corresponding to different gamma voltages, wherein the plurality of gamma lines comprises a first gamma line and a second gamma line; a plurality of local tab point lines arranged between the first gamma line and the second gamma line, wherein the first gamma line and the second gamma line are adjacent; a plurality of first switches configured to connect the first gamma line to a corresponding local tab point line among the plurality of local tab point lines according to a corresponding tab division enable signal; and a plurality of second switches configured to connect the second gamma line to the corresponding local tab point line according to the corresponding tab division enable signal, wherein the corresponding tab division enable signal is generated using a switch signal and an enable signal, wherein the switch signal is generated for a corresponding fast gamma settling circuit, and the enable signal is generated by comparing previous channel data with current channel data.

17

17. The display device of claim 16, wherein further comprising a counter configured to count differences of the previous channel data and the current channel data.

18

18. The display device of claim 17, wherein the enable signal is generated when a count value of the counter is greater than a reference value.

19

19. The display device of claim 16, wherein the switch signal is generated in response to a data enable signal from an external device.

20

20. The display device of claim 16, wherein the enable signal is generated using Most Significant Bits (MSB) changes between the previous channel data and the current channel data.
