Legal claims defining the scope of protection, as filed with the USPTO.
1. An audio encoding method, comprising: obtaining a current frame of an audio signal that comprises a left channel signal and a right channel signal; obtaining a signal type of the current frame, wherein the signal type of the current frame is either a near out of phase signal or not a near out of phase signal, wherein the near out of phase signal represents that a phase difference between the left channel signal and right channel signal falls within [180−θ,180+θ], wherein θ is any angle between 0° and 90°; determining a coding mode of the current frame, wherein the coding mode of the current frame is either an anticorrelated signal coding mode or not an anticorrelated signal coding mode, wherein the anticorrelated signal coding mode is corresponding to an anticorrelated signal channel combination scheme, wherein the anticorrelated signal channel combination scheme corresponds to the near out of phase signal; in response to the coding mode of the current frame being the anticorrelated signal coding mode, performing time-domain downmix processing on the left channel signal and right channel signal, to obtain primary and secondary channel signals of the current frame; encoding the obtained primary and secondary channel signals into a bitstream; and storing or transmitting the bitstream.
2. An encoder comprising: at least one processor; and one or more memories coupled to the at least one processor and storing programming instructions for execution by the at least one processor to cause the encoder to: obtain a current frame of an audio signal that comprises a left channel signal and a right channel signal; obtain a signal type of the current frame, wherein the signal type of the current frame is either a near out of phase signal or not a near out of phase signal, wherein the near out of phase signal represents that a phase difference between the left channel signal and right channel signal falls within [180−θ,180+θ], wherein 9 is any angle between 0° and 90°; determine a coding mode of the current frame, wherein the coding mode of the current frame is either an anticorrelated signal coding mode or not an anticorrelated signal coding mode, wherein the anticorrelated signal coding mode is corresponding to an anticorrelated signal channel combination scheme, wherein the anticorrelated signal channel combination scheme corresponds to the near out of phase signal; in response to the coding mode of the current frame being the anticorrelated signal coding mode, perform time-domain downmix processing on the left channel signal and right channel signal, to obtain primary and secondary channel signals of the current frame; encode the obtained primary and secondary channel signals into a bitstream; and store or transmit the bitstream.
3. A computer program product comprising computer-executable instructions stored on a non-transitory computer-readable medium that, when executed by a processor, cause an encoder to perform operations comprising: obtaining a current frame of an audio signal that comprises a left channel signal and a right channel signal; obtaining a signal type of the current frame, wherein the signal type of the current frame is either a near out of phase signal or not a near out of phase signal, wherein the near out of phase signal represents that a phase difference between the left channel signal and right channel signal falls within [180−θ,180+θ], wherein θ is any angle between 0° and 90°; determining a coding mode of the current frame, wherein the coding mode of the current frame is either an anticorrelated signal coding mode or not an anticorrelated signal coding mode, wherein the anticorrelated signal coding mode is corresponding to an anticorrelated signal channel combination scheme, wherein the anticorrelated signal channel combination scheme corresponds to the near out of phase signal; in response to the coding mode of the current frame being the anticorrelated signal coding mode, performing time-domain downmix processing on the left and right channel signals, to obtain primary and secondary channel signals of the current frame; encoding the obtained primary and secondary channel signals into a bitstream; and storing or transmitting the bitstream.
