1

1. A computer-implemented method comprising: receiving a request for a document; determining an authorization code image (ACI) for the document, wherein the ACI comprises an image for validating the document; determining a size, a shape, and a placement of the ACI on the document; printing, based on the determined size and the determined shape, the ACI on the document with an ink and on the determined placement; and providing an indication of a property of the ink to a validator of the document, wherein the determined size, the determined shape, and the determined placement of the ACI are based on one or more of an intended recipient of the document or information associated with a customer requesting the document.

2

2. The method of claim 1, further comprising adjusting the property of the ink before printing the ACI.

3

3. The method of claim 2, wherein adjusting the property of the ink comprises adjusting a concentration of an additive of the ink.

4

4. The method of claim 2, wherein adjusting the property of the ink comprises making an adjustment to the ink for affecting a response of the ink to at least one of: a predetermined wavelength of light; a change in temperature; or a human touch.

5

5. The method of claim 1, wherein the image for validating the document comprises a quick response (QR) code or a watermark.

6

6. The method of claim 1, wherein the determined size, the determined shape, and the determined placement of the ACI are further based on a location of issuance of the document.

7

7. The method of claim 1, wherein the determined size, the determined shape, and the determined placement of the ACI are further based on one or more of a time of day a request for the document is received or a date the request for the document is received.

8

8. The method of claim 1, wherein the document comprises a legal document or a financial document.

9

9. A computer-implemented method comprising: receiving a request for a document; determining an authorization code image (ACI) for the document based on an instance of a variable protocol for generating ACIs, wherein the ACI comprises an image for validating the document; determining, based on the instance of the variable protocol for generating ACIs, a size, a shape, and a placement of the ACI on the document; printing, based on the determined size and the determined shape, the ACI on the document on the determined placement; and sending information based on the instance of the variable protocol, wherein the information can be used by a third party to (a) develop the ACI on the document, (b) validate the document, or both (a) and (b), wherein the determined size, the determined shape, and the determined placement of the ACI are based on one or more of an intended recipient of the document or information associated with a customer that requests the document.

10

10. The method of claim 9, wherein the instance of the variable protocol for the ACI includes a temperature sensitivity characteristic of an ink used for printing the ACI.

11

11. The method of claim 9, wherein the instance of the variable protocol for the ACI includes a light sensitivity characteristic of an ink used for printing the ACI.

12

12. The method of claim 9, wherein the instance of the variable protocol for the ACI includes a concentration of an additive of an ink used for printing the ACI.

13

13. The method of claim 9, wherein the image for validating the document comprises a quick response (QR) code or a watermark.

14

14. The method of claim 9, wherein the determined size, the determined shape, and the determined placement of the ACI are further based on a location of issuance of the document.

15

15. The method of claim 9, wherein the determined size, the determined shape, and the determined placement of the ACI are further based on one or more of a time of day a request for the document is received or a date the request for the document is received.

16

16. The method of claim 9, wherein the document comprises a financial document or a legal document.

17

17. The method of claim 9, wherein the document comprises a cashier's check.

18

18. One or more non-transitory media storing instructions that, when executed by one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to perform steps comprising: receiving a request for a secure document; determining a date the request was received; determining a location associated with the request; determining information associated with a customer; determining, based on the determined date, the determined location, and the determined information associated with the customer, an authorization code image (ACI) for the secure document and a size, a shape, and a placement of the ACI on the secure document, wherein the ACI comprises an image for validating the secure document; printing, based on the determined size and the determined shape, the ACI on the secure document on the determined placement; and proviZding information regarding the ACI to a validator of the secure document.

19

19. The one or more non-transitory media storing instructions of claim 18, wherein the secure document comprises a financial document or a legal document.

20

20. The one or more non-transitory media storing instructions of claim 18, wherein the secure document comprises a cashier's check.
