Legal claims defining the scope of protection, as filed with the USPTO.
1. A processor-based system for verifying an identity of a user in a transaction, comprising: a data storage device, wherein at least one of personal information and financial information of the user is stored in the data storage device, wherein the total identification score is associated with the at least one of personal information and financial information of the user; a processor, the processor being operatively coupled to the data storage device and a plurality of modules, each module being configured to carry out at least one operation; an identification score assignment module operatively coupled to the processor, wherein the identification score assignment module is configured to receive at least one source of identification of the user, and wherein the identification score assignment module is configured to assign an identification score to each of the at least one source of identification; a total identification score generation module operatively coupled with the identification score assignment module, wherein the total identification score generation module is configured to generate a total identification score of the user from the identification scores of each of the at least one source of identification and a predetermined function, wherein the total identification score of the user is associated with a level of verification of the identity of the user, wherein the total identification score of the user is compared to a minimum identification score associated with a transaction, wherein the transaction is performed when the total identification score of the user is greater than or equal to the minimum identification score, and wherein additional sources of identification of the user are received before performing the transaction when the total identification score is less than the minimum identification score; a log module operatively coupled to the processor, wherein the log module records accesses associated with the total identification score of the user by the third party; an access code generation module operatively coupled to the processor, wherein the access code generation module is configured to generate a unique identity access authorization code associated with the user for use by a third party to access information associated with the user; and a data transmission module operatively coupled to the processor, wherein the data transmission module is configured to transmit at least the total identification score of the user to a third party.
2. The processor-based system of claim 1 , wherein the data transmission module is configured to transmit at least the total identification score of the user to the third party upon further verification of a user identification code of the user.
3. The processor-based system of claim 1 , comprising: a report generation module operatively coupled to the processor, wherein the report generation module is configured to generate reports for displaying the record of accesses associated with the total identification score of the user.
4. The processor-based system of claim 1 , comprising: an identity card, wherein the identity card is configured to securely contain identification information associated with the user.
5. The processor-based system of claim 1 , comprising: a transaction order generation module operatively coupled to the processor, wherein the transaction order generation module is configured to generate a transaction order using the total identification score of the user, wherein the transaction order is submitted by the user to perform the transaction, and wherein at least one of personal information and financial information of the user is accessed, using the transaction order, to complete the transaction.
6. The processor-based system of claim 1 , comprising: an address identification code generation module operatively coupled to the processor, wherein the address identification code generation module is configured to generate an address identification code associated with an address of the user, wherein the address identification code and an address of a communication reception center is supplied to a third party, wherein communications for the user from the third party are received at the communication reception center, and wherein the communications include the address identification code; and a communication display module operatively coupled to the processor, wherein the communication display module is configured to display the communications to the user associated with the address identification code.
7. The processor-based system of claim 1 , comprising: an identity risk factor generation module operatively coupled to the processor, wherein the identity risk factor generation module is configured to generate an identity risk factor associated with the user, and wherein the identity risk factor is associated with a level of risk of theft of the identity of the user by identity thieves.
8. The processor-based system of claim 1 , wherein the transaction comprises an application for credit.
9. The processor-based system of claim 1 , wherein the transaction comprises a purchase transaction.
10. The processor-based system of claim 1 , comprising: a graphical user interface operatively coupled to the processor, wherein the graphical user interface is configured to provide access to and management of identification information associated with the user.
