1. A method of synchronizing data in different devices comprising: connecting a dongle to a landline telephone, the dongle having software embedded therein that performs auto-dialing functions on the landline telephone, the dongle further stores first call usage information associated with the landline telephone, the first call usage information comprising identification information for incoming calls received on the landline telephone and outgoing calls placed on the landline telephone; receiving user input that initiates a call on the landline telephone using the auto-dialing functions of the software embedded in the dongle and the first call usage information stored in the dongle; connecting the dongle to a cellular phone; receiving user input that initiates a call on the cellular phone using the first call usage information stored on the dongle; storing in the dongle, second call usage information associated with the cellular phone, the second call usage information comprising identification information for incoming calls received on the cellular phone and outgoing calls placed on the cellular phone; and transferring to a server via a cellular network with the cellular phone, the first and second call usage information stored on the dongle.

2

2. The method of claim 1 wherein initiating a call on the landline telephone uses a call log obtained from the dongle.

3

3. The method of claim 1 wherein a user initiates a call on the landline telephone by selecting second call usage information associated with the cellular phone.

4

4. The method of claim 1 wherein the first call usage information associated with the landline telephone is merged with the second call usage information associated with the cellular phone.

5

5. The method of claim 1 wherein the cellular phone initiates a call on the landline telephone via the dongle.

6

6. The method of claim 1 wherein initiating a call on the cellular phone uses a call log obtained via the dongle from the landline telephone.

7

7. The method of claim 1 wherein a user initiates a call on the cellular phone by selecting the first call usage information located on the dongle.

8

8. The method of claim 1 wherein a call log associated with the second call usage information from the cellular phone is merged with a call log associated with the first call usage information from the landline telephone.

9

9. The method of claim 1 wherein initiating a call on the landline telephone uses a call log obtained via the server.

10

10. The method of claim 1 wherein the server merges a call log associated with the cellular phone with a call log associated with the landline telephone.

11

11. An apparatus method of synchronizing data in different devices comprising: a dongle that connects to a landline telephone, the dongle having software embedded therein to that performs auto-dialing functions on the landline telephone, the software on the dongle further stores first call usage information associated with the landline telephone, the first call usage information comprising identification information for incoming calls received on the landline telephone and outgoing calls placed on the landline telephone, wherein the dongle is further configured to: receive user input that initiates a call on the landline telephone using the auto-dialing functions of the software embedded in the dongle and the first call usage information stored in the dongle; connect to a cellular phone to receive user input that initiates a call on the cellular phone using the first call usage information; store second call usage information associated with the cellular phone, the second call usage information comprising identification information for incoming calls received on the cellular telephone and outgoing calls placed on the cellular phone; and send the first and second call usage information stored on the dongle to a server via the cellular network with the cellular phone.

12

12. The apparatus of claim 11 wherein initiating a call on the landline telephone uses a call log obtained from the dongle.

13

13. The apparatus of claim 11 wherein the dongle is configured to initiate a call on the landline telephone by selecting second call usage information associated with the cellular phone.

14

14. The apparatus of claim 11 wherein the first call usage information associated with the landline telephone is merged with the second call usage information associated with the cellular phone.

15

15. The apparatus of claim 11 wherein the cellular phone is configured to initiate a call on the landline telephone via the dongle.

16

16. The apparatus of claim 11 wherein initiating a call on the cellular phone uses a call log obtained via the dongle from the landline telephone.

17

17. The apparatus of claim 11 wherein a user initiates a call on the cellular phone system by selecting first call usage information located on the dongle.

18

18. The apparatus of claim 11 wherein a call log associated with the second call usage information from the cellular phone is merged with a call log associated with the first call usage information from the landline telephone system.

19

19. The apparatus of claim 11 wherein initiating a call on the landline telephone uses a call log obtained via the server.

20

20. The apparatus of claim 11 wherein the server merges a call log associated with the cellular phone with a call log associated with the landline telephone.
