1. An information processing apparatus comprising a CPU, configured to: detect, by the CPU, face images in a plurality of image data; store face information based on the face detection results; select, by the CPU, one of a plurality of image-data templates based on a user input, wherein the image-data template comprises an image-data filling region; display at least a part of the plurality of image data disposed at the image-data filling region of the selected image-data template and based on the face information in a first application; send a notification to an external device, the notification indicating an intention to transfer the selected image-data template to the external device; and upon receiving an authentication notification from the external device, transmit the selected image-data template to the external device before transferring the image data to the external device for display, on the external device, of the image data based on the associated face information in a second application different from the first application.
2. The information processing apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the selected image-data template is transmitted to the external device wirelessly or via a network.
3. The information processing apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the part of the plurality of image data is disposed at the image-data filling region based on image-filling instructions associated with the selected image-data template.
4. The information processing apparatus according to claim 1 , further configured to: select, by the CPU, a mosaic template for the face information based on a user input.
5. The information processing apparatus according to claim 1 , further configured to: select, by the CPU, the one of the plurality of image-data templates based on a first pre-registered keyword input by a user.
6. The information processing apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the face information including tag information indicating that the image data associated with the face information is to be filled in the image-data filling region.
7. A method performed by an information processing apparatus comprising a CPU and a display, the method comprising: detecting, by the CPU, face images in a plurality of image data; storing face information based on the face detection results; selecting, by the CPU, one of a plurality of image-data templates by a user input, wherein the image-data template comprises an image-data filling region; displaying, by the display, at least a part of the plurality of image data disposed at the image-data filling region of the selected image-data template and based on the face information in a first application; sending a notification to an external device, the notification indicating an intention to transfer the selected image-data template to the external device; and upon receiving an authentication notification from the external device, transmitting the selected image-data template to the external device before transferring the image data to the external device for display, on the external device, of the image data based on the associated face information in a second application different from the first application.
8. The method according to claim 7 , wherein the part of the plurality of image data is disposed at the image-data filling region based on image-filling instructions associated with the selected image-data template.
9. The method according to claim 7 , further comprising: selecting, by the CPU, a mosaic template for the face information based on a user input.
10. The method according to claim 7 , further comprising: selecting, by the CPU, the one of the plurality of image-data templates based on a first pre-registered keyword input by a user.
11. The method according to claim 7 , wherein the face information including tag information indicating that the image data associated with the face information is to be filled in the image-data filling region.
12. A non-transitory computer-readable recording medium tangibly storing a program, the program when executed by an information processing apparatus comprising a CPU and a display so that the information processing apparatus performs: detecting, by the CPU, face images in a plurality of image data; storing face information based on the face detection results; selecting, by the CPU, one of a plurality of image-data templates by a user input, wherein the image-data template comprises an image-data filling region; displaying, by the display, at least a part of the plurality of image data disposed at the image-data filling region of the selected image-data template and based on the face information in a first application; sending a notification to an external device, the notification indicating an intention to transfer the selected image-data template to the external device; and upon receiving an authentication notification from the external device, transmitting the selected image-data template to the external device before transferring the image data to the external device for display, on the external device, of the image data based on the associated face information in a second application different from the first application.
13. The information processing apparatus according to claim 5 , further configured to: select, by the CPU, the image data or the face information associated with the image data for the selected image-data template based on a second pre-registered keyword input by a user.
14. The method according to claim 10 , further comprising: selecting, by the CPU, the image data or the face information associated with the image data for the selected image-data template based on a second pre-registered keyword input by a user.
15. The information processing apparatus according to claim 1 , further configured to: transfer the image data to the external device for display, on the external device, of the image data with the selected image-data template in the second application.
16. The method according to claim 7 , further comprising: transferring the image data to the external device for display, on the external device, of the image data with the selected image-data template in the second application.
