A component control system, comprising: a component; at least one component element included in the component; and a component controller that is included in the component, coupled to the at least one component element, and configured to couple to an Information Handling System (IHS) controller, wherein the component controller is further configured to: receive a normalized component performance (NCP) value from the IHS controller, wherein the NCP value is associated with a plurality of component output ranges; and provide a control signal that is associated with the NCP value to the at least one component element; wherein, in response to receiving the control signal, the at least one component element operates such that the component produces a plurality of component outputs, and wherein each component output produced by the component is within a corresponding one of the plurality of component output ranges.
2. The system of claim 1 , wherein the component controller is configured to send the NCP value to the IHS.
3. The system of claim 1 , wherein the component is a Power Supply Unit (PSU), the at least one component element includes at least one fan, and at least one of the plurality of component output ranges includes at least one PSU output range.
4. The system of claim 3 , wherein the NCP value is associated with a PSU input range that includes a PSU inlet temperature range.
5. The system of claim 3 , wherein the at least one PSU output range includes a PSU loudness range.
6. The system of claim 3 , wherein the at least one PSU output range includes a PSU airflow range.
7. A component control system, comprising: a Power Supply Unit (PSU); at least one fan included in the PSU; and a fan controller that is included in the PSU, coupled to the at least one fan, and configured to couple to an Information Handling System (IHS) controller, wherein the fan controller is further configured to: receive a normalized component performance (NCP) value from the IHS controller, wherein the NCP value is associated with at least one PSU output range; and provide a control signal that is associated with the NCP value to the at least one fan, wherein the control signal includes one of a Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) signal, a voltage regulation signal, and a RPM signal, and wherein the control signal is determined, prior to the fan controller receiving the NCP value, to cause the at least one fan to operate such that the PSU produces at least one PSU output; wherein, in response to receiving the control signal, the at least one fan operates such that the PSU produces the at least one PSU output, and wherein each PSU output produced by the PSU is within the at least one PSU output range.
8. An information handling system (IHS), comprising: an IHS controller; a first IHS chassis that houses a processor that is coupled to the IHS controller; a Power Supply Unit (PSU) that is housed in the first IHS chassis and that includes at least one fan and a fan controller that is coupled to the at least one fan and to the IHS controller through the processor, wherein the fan controller is configured to: receive a normalized fan performance (NFP) value from the IHS controller, wherein the NFP value is associated with a plurality of PSU output ranges; and provide a fan control signal that is associated with the NFP value to the at least one fan; wherein, in response to receiving the fan control signal, the at least one fan operates such that the PSU produces a plurality of PSU outputs, and wherein each PSU output produced by the PSU is within a corresponding one of the plurality of PSU output ranges.
9. The system of claim 8 , wherein the fan controller is configured to send the NFP value to the IHS controller.
10. The system of claim 8 , wherein the NFP value is associated with a PSU input range that includes a PSU inlet temperature range.
11. The system of claim 8 , wherein the at least one PSU output range includes a PSU loudness range.
12. The system of claim 8 , wherein the at least one PSU output range includes a PSU airflow range.
13. The system of claim 8 , wherein the fan control signal includes one of a Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) signal, a voltage regulation signal, and a RPM signal, and wherein the fan control signal that is associated with the NFP value is determined, prior to the component controller receiving the NFP value, to cause the at least one fan to operate such that the PSU produces at least one PSU output, and wherein each PSU output produced by the PSU is within a corresponding PSU output range.
14. An information handling system (IHS), comprising: an IHS controller; a first IHS chassis that houses a first processor that is coupled to the IHS controller; a first Power Supply Unit (PSU) component that is housed in the first IHS chassis and that includes at least one first fan and a first fan controller that is coupled to the at least one first fan and to the IHS controller through the first processor, wherein the first fan controller is configured to: receive a normalized fan performance (NFP) value from the IHS controller, wherein the NFP value is associated with at least one PSU output range; and provide a fan control signal that is associated with the NFP value to the at least one first fan; wherein, in response to receiving the fan control signal, the at least one first fan operates such that the first PSU component produces at least one PSU output, and wherein each PSU output produced by the first PSU component is within a corresponding PSU output range; a second IHS chassis that houses a second processor that is coupled to the IHS controller; a second PSU component that is housed in the second IHS chassis and that includes at least one second fan and a second fan controller that is coupled to the at least one second fan and to the IHS controller through the second processor, wherein the second fan controller is configured to: receive a normalized fan performance (NFP) value from the IHS controller, wherein the NFP value is associated with at least one PSU output range; and provide a fan control signal that is associated with the NFP value to the at least one second fan; wherein, in response to receiving the fan control signal, the at least one second fan operates such that the second PSU component produces at least one PSU output, and wherein each PSU output produced by the second PSU component is within a corresponding PSU output range.
15. A method for controlling a component, comprising: receiving, by a component controller, a normalized component performance (NCP) value from an IHS controller, wherein the NCP value is associated with a plurality of component output ranges; providing, by the component controller, a control signal that is associated with the NCP value to at least one component element in the component; and operating the at least one component element using the control signal such that the component produces a plurality of component outputs, wherein each component output produced by the component is within a corresponding one of the plurality of component output ranges.
16. The method of claim 15 , wherein the component is a Power Supply Unit (PSU), the at least one component element includes at least one fan, and at least one of the plurality of component output ranges includes at least one PSU output range.
17. The method of claim 16 , wherein the at least one PSU output range includes a PSU loudness range and a PSU airflow range.
18. A method for controlling a component, comprising: receiving, by a fan controller, a normalized component performance (NCP) value from an IHS controller, wherein the NCP value is associated with at least one PSU output range; providing, by the fan controller, a control signal that is associated with the NCP value to at least one fan in the PSU, wherein the control signal includes one of a Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) signal, a voltage regulation signal, and a RPM signal and wherein the control signal is determined, prior to the fan controller receiving the NCP value, to cause the at least one fan to operate such that the PSU produces at least one PSU output; and operating the at least one fan using the control signal such that the PSU produces at least one PSU output, wherein each PSU output produced by the PSU is within the at least one PSU output range.
