1

1. A mobile electronic device that can set and release a lock state, the device comprising: a display operable to display a first screen in a lock state, the screen comprising a first display object; a touch panel coupled to the display, and operable to detect a touch on the first display object, a move of the touch and a release of the touch; a controller, operable to: cause the display to substitute the first display object with a second display object upon the detection of the touch on the first display object and before the move of the touch; and release the lock state when the move of the touch moves the second display object to a predetermined area on the display.

2

2. The mobile electronic device according to claim 1 , wherein the controller is further operable to cause the display to substitute the second display object with a third display object when the second display object reaches the predetermined area.

3

3. The mobile electronic device according to claim 1 , wherein the controller is further operable to keep the lock state when the release is detected on an area different from the predetermined area.

4

4. The mobile electronic device according to claim 1 , wherein the controller is further operable to cause the display to display a second screen to execute a predetermined process upon releasing the lock state.

5

5. The mobile electronic device according to claim 4 , wherein the predetermined process comprises an email-related process.

6

6. The mobile electronic device according to claim 4 , wherein the predetermined process comprises an internet-related process.

7

7. The mobile electronic device according to claim 4 , wherein the predetermined process comprises a phone-related process.

8

8. A method for controlling lock state of a mobile terminal, the method comprising: displaying a first screen with a first display object on a display in a lock state; receiving first and second user inputs on a touch panel; substituting the first display object with a second display object upon the receipt of the first user input when the first user input is a touch on the first display object and before receiving the second user input of a move of the touch; and changing the lock state to an unlock state when the second user input comprises the move of the touch of the second display object to a predetermined area.

9

9. The method of claim 8 , further comprising: substituting the second display object with a third display object upon changing the lock state to the unlock state.

10

10. The method of claim 8 , further comprising: displaying a second screen to execute a predetermined process upon releasing the lock state.

11

11. The method of claim 8 , wherein the predetermined process comprises an email-related process.

12

12. The method of claim 8 , wherein the predetermined process comprises an internet-related process.

13

13. The method of claim 8 , wherein the predetermined process comprises a phone-related process.

14

14. A non-transitory computer readable medium for a mobile electronic device, the computer readable medium comprising program code for: displaying a first screen with a first display object on a display in a lock state; receiving first and second user inputs on a touch panel; substituting the first display object with a second display object upon receipt of the first user input when the first user input is a touch on the first display object and before receiving the second user input of a move of the touch; and changing the lock state to an unlock state when the second user input comprises the move of the touch of the second display object to a predetermined area.

15

15. The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 14 , wherein the program code substitutes the second display object with a third display object upon changing the lock state to the unlock state.

16

16. The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 14 , wherein the program code display a second screen to execute a predetermined process upon releasing the lock state.
