Communication Method and Apparatus

1. A system comprising: a personal information server connected to at least one memory configured to store personal information including first information regarding a first user and second information regarding a second user, the first information including first identification information of one or more acquaintances of the first user, the second information including second identification information of one or more acquaintances of the second user, the personal information server being connected to a network; and circuitry configured to: determine a degree of similarity representing a number of mutual acquaintances shared by the first user and the second user, control to display, at least on a display of a first communication device of the first user, the degree of similarity representing the number of mutual acquaintances shared by the first user and the second user, transmit over the network, from the first communication device of the first user to a second communication device of the second user, a request to perform a subsequent communication between the first user and the second user, and in response to an instruction, from the second communication device of the second user, to accept the request to perform the subsequent communication, establish the subsequent communication.

2. The system of claim 1 , wherein the request includes a predetermined text message.

3. The system of claim 1 , wherein the subsequent communication includes an exchange of text messaging between the first communication device of the first user and the second communication device of the second user.

4. The system of claim 1 , wherein the subsequent communication includes a voice conversation between the first communication device of the first user and the second communication device of the second user.

5. The system of claim 1 , wherein the subsequent communication includes same content data shared between the first communication device of the first user and the second communication device of the second user.

6. The system of claim 1 , wherein: the first identification information of one or more acquaintances of the first user includes one or more mail addresses of the corresponding one or more acquaintances of the first user, and the second identification information of one or more acquaintances of the second user includes one or more mail addresses of the corresponding one or more acquaintances of the second user.

7. The system of claim 1 , wherein: the first identification information of one or more acquaintances of the first user includes one or more names of the corresponding one or more acquaintances of the first user, and the second identification information of one or more acquaintances of the second user includes one or more names of the corresponding one or more acquaintances of the second user.

8. The system of claim 1 , wherein: the circuitry is configured to determine the degree of similarity representing the number of mutual acquaintances shared by the first user and the second user based at least in part on the first information and the second information.

9. A first communication device of a first user comprising: at least one memory configured to store instructions; a display configured to display information to the first user; a network interface configured to connect to a network; and at least one processor configured to execute the instructions to: receive a degree of similarity representing a number of mutual acquaintances shared by the first user and a second user, wherein: the degree of similarity representing the number of mutual acquaintances shared by the first user and the second user is determined based at least in part on first information and second information stored in at least one memory connected to a personal information server that is connected to a network, the first information is regarding the first user and includes first identification information of one or more acquaintances of the first user, and the second information is regarding the second user and includes second identification information of one or more acquaintances of the second user; control to display, at least on the display, the degree of similarity representing the number of mutual acquaintances shared by the first user and the second user; control to transmit, over the network via the network interface, from the first communication device of the first user to a second communication device of the second user, a request to perform a subsequent communication between the first user and the second user; and in response to an acceptance of the request to perform the subsequent communication, establish the subsequent communication.

10. The communication device of claim 9 , wherein the request includes a predetermined text message.

11. The communication device of claim 9 , wherein the subsequent communication includes an exchange of text messaging between the first communication device of the first user and the second communication device of the second user.

12. The communication device of claim 9 , wherein the subsequent communication includes a voice conversation between the first communication device of the first user and the second communication device of the second user.

13. The communication device of claim 9 , wherein the subsequent communication includes same content data shared between the first communication device of the first user and the second communication device of the second user.

14. The communication device of claim 9 , wherein: the first identification information of one or more acquaintances of the first user includes one or more mail addresses of the corresponding one or more acquaintances of the first user, and the second identification information of one or more acquaintances of the second user includes one or more mail addresses of the corresponding one or more acquaintances of the second user.

15. The communication device of claim 9 , wherein: the first identification information of one or more acquaintances of the first user includes one or more names of the corresponding one or more acquaintances of the first user, and the second identification information of one or more acquaintances of the second user includes one or more names of the corresponding one or more acquaintances of the second user.

16. A non-transitory computer readable storage medium having stored thereon instructions that, when executed by a processor, perform a method for providing information, the method comprising: retrieving, from at least one memory, personal information including first information regarding a first user and second information regarding a second user, the first information including first identification information of one or more acquaintances of the first user, the second information including second identification information of one or more acquaintances of the second user; determining a degree of similarity representing a number of mutual acquaintances shared by the first user and the second user, controlling to display, at least on a display of a first communication device of the first user, the degree of similarity representing the number of mutual acquaintances shared by the first user and the second user, transmitting over the network, from the first communication device of the first user to a second communication device of the second user, a request to perform a subsequent communication between the first user and the second user, and in response to an instruction, from the second communication device of the second user, to accept the request to perform the subsequent communication, establishing the subsequent communication.

17. The non-transitory computer readable storage medium of claim 16 , wherein the request includes a predetermined text message.

18. The non-transitory computer readable storage medium of claim 16 , wherein the subsequent communication includes an exchange of text messaging between the first communication device of the first user and the second communication device of the second user.

19. The non-transitory computer readable storage medium of claim 16 , wherein the subsequent communication includes a voice conversation between the first communication device of the first user and the second communication device of the second user.

20. The non-transitory computer readable storage medium of claim 16 , wherein the subsequent communication includes same content data shared between the first communication device of the first user and the second communication device of the second user.

The non-transitory computer readable storage medium of claim 16 , wherein: the first identification information of one or more acquaintances of the first user includes one or more mail addresses of the corresponding one or more acquaintances of the first user, and the second identification information of one or more acquaintances of the second user includes one or more mail addresses of the corresponding one or more acquaintances of the second user.

The non-transitory computer readable storage medium of claim 16 , wherein: the first identification information of one or more acquaintances of the first user includes one or more names of the corresponding one or more acquaintances of the first user, and the second identification information of one or more acquaintances of the second user includes one or more names of the corresponding one or more acquaintances of the second user.

The non-transitory computer readable storage medium of claim 16 , wherein: the circuitry is configured to determine the degree of similarity representing the number of mutual acquaintances shared by the first user and the second user based at least in part on the first information and the second information.

24. A non-transitory computer readable storage medium having stored thereon instructions that, when executed by a processor, perform a method for providing information, the method comprising: receiving a degree of similarity representing a number of mutual acquaintances shared by a first user and a second user, wherein: the degree of similarity representing the number of mutual acquaintances shared by the first user and the second user is determined based at least in part on first information and second information stored in at least one memory connected to a personal information server that is connected to a network, the first information is regarding the first user and includes first identification information of one or more acquaintances of the first user, and the second information is regarding the second user and includes second identification information of one or more acquaintances of the second user; controlling to display, at least on a display of a first communication device of the first user, the degree of similarity representing the number of mutual acquaintances shared by the first user and the second user; controlling to transmit, over a network via a network interface, from the first communication device of the first user to a second communication device of the second user, a request to perform a subsequent communication between the first user and the second user; and in response to an acceptance of the request to perform the subsequent communication, establishing the subsequent communication.

25. The non-transitory computer readable storage medium of claim 24 , wherein the request includes a predetermined text message.

26. The non-transitory computer readable storage medium of claim 24 , wherein the subsequent communication includes an exchange of text messaging between the first communication device of the first user and the second communication device of the second user.

27. The non-transitory computer readable storage medium of claim 24 , wherein the subsequent communication includes same content data shared between the first communication device of the first user and the second communication device of the second user.

The non-transitory computer readable storage medium of claim 24 , wherein: the first identification information of one or more acquaintances of the first user includes one or more names of the corresponding one or more acquaintances of the first user, and the second identification information of one or more acquaintances of the second user includes one or more names of the corresponding one or more acquaintances of the second user.
