A mobile phone, comprising: a touch panel; a sensor for outputting infrared light and receiving a reflection of the outputted infrared light during a telephone call; and a controller configured to enable the sensor during the telephone call and make a function of the touch panel effective in response to the sensor receiving no reflection of the outputted infrared light while the function of the touch panel is made ineffective.
2. The mobile phone according to claim 1 , wherein the controller makes the function of the touch panel ineffective when the sensor receives the reflection of the outputted infrared light.
3. The mobile phone according to claim 1 , wherein the controller carries out a control to increase or decrease electric power, which is supplied to the touch panel, in case that the sensor receives the reflection of outputted infrared light.
4. The mobile phone according to claim 3 , wherein the controller carries out a control to decrease an amount of electric power, which is supplied to the touch panel, to a predetermined value in case that the sensor receives the reflection of outputted infrared light.
5. The mobile phone according to claim 1 , further comprising: a display that displays information, wherein the controller carries out a control to increase or decrease an amount of electric power, which is supplied to the display, in case that the sensor receives the reflection of outputted infrared light.
6. The mobile phone according to claim 5 , wherein the controller carries out a control to decrease the amount of electric power to a predetermined value in case that the sensor receives the reflection of outputted infrared light.
