1

1. A system in a vehicle, comprising: a transceiver configured to communicate with one or more mobile devices in a vehicle, wherein the one or more mobile devices are configured to initiate a phone conversation with a remote phone; one or more cameras configured to obtain image information from one or more occupants in the vehicle; a controller in communication with the one or more cameras and the transceiver, wherein the controller is configured to: identify one or more occupants in the vehicle utilizing the image information; and send data identifying the one or more occupants in the vehicle to the remote phone to output an icon to indicate a presence of passengers in the vehicle, in response to initiation of the phone conversation with the remote phone.

2

2. The system of claim 1 , wherein the data identifying the one or more occupants indicates a contact name of the one or more occupants in the vehicle.

3

3. The system of claim 1 , wherein the system further includes one or more seat sensors configured to determine when occupants are in the vehicle.

4

4. The system of claim 3 , wherein the controller is further configured to send data indicating occupants in the vehicle.

5

5. The system of claim 4 , wherein the data indicating occupants in the vehicle include a number of occupants in the vehicle.

6

6. The system of claim 1 , wherein the data identifying the one or more occupants indicates an image of the one or more occupants in the vehicle.

7

7. The system of claim 1 , wherein the controller is configured to send the data identifying the one or more occupants in the vehicle in response to initiation of the phone conversation with the remote phone.

8

8. A system in a vehicle, comprising: a transceiver configured to communicate with one or more mobile devices in a vehicle, wherein the one or more mobile devices are configured to initiate a phone conversation with a remote phone; one or more sensors configured to collect data indicating a presence of passengers in the vehicle; a controller in communication with the one or more sensors and the transceiver, wherein the controller is configured to: determine the presence of passengers in the vehicle utilizing the data indicating the presence of passengers in the vehicle; and send data indicating the presence of passengers in the vehicle to the remote phone, by outputting an icon to indicate a presence of passengers in the vehicle, in response to initiation of the phone conversation with the remote phone.

9

9. The system of claim 8 , wherein the controller is further configured to identify a number of passengers in the vehicle in response to the data indicating the presence of passengers in the vehicle.

10

10. The system of claim 8 , wherein the controller is further configured to identify one or more minor passengers in the vehicle in response to the data indicating the presence of passengers in the vehicle.

11

11. The system of claim 8 , wherein the controller is further configured to identify a number of passengers in the vehicle in response to the data indicating the presence of passengers in the vehicle.

12

12. The system of claim 8 , wherein the controller is further configured to identify one or more minor passengers in the vehicle in response to the data indicating the presence of passengers in the vehicle.

13

13. The system of claim 12 , wherein the system further includes one or more seat sensors determining that additional occupants are in the vehicle.

14

14. The system of claim 13 , wherein the one or more sensors includes a seat sensor.

15

15. The system of claim 8 , wherein the controller is further configured to send instructions to the mobile device to output an audible message indicating the presence of passengers in the vehicle upon initiating the phone conversation.

16

16. The system of claim 8 , wherein the controller is configured to send the data indicating the presence of passengers in the vehicle prior to initiation of the phone conversation with the remote phone.

17

17. A mobile device, comprising: a first transceiver configured to communicate with a remote phone; a second transceiver configured to communicate a vehicle system; a display; and a controller in communication with the first and second transceiver, wherein the controller is configured to: send an instruction to the vehicle system indicating a phone conversation with the remote phone; and send a notification to the remote phone, wherein the notification is sent to the remote phone in response to initiation of the phone conversation, wherein the notification indicates a presence of passengers in the vehicle in response to data from the second transceiver indicating the presence of passengers; and output on the display an icon indicating the presence of passengers.

18

18. The mobile device of claim 17 , wherein the mobile device further includes a camera configured to identify the presence of passengers in the vehicle.

19

19. The mobile device of claim 17 , wherein the mobile device further includes a display configured to output video of passengers in the vehicle.
