Technical Abstract

Aspects of the present invention relate to methods and devices for receiving and presenting content. In an example method, content is received, the content to be delivered to a plurality of recipients. Each recipient of the plurality of recipients has a preference for a respective first physical location at which the content is to be presented on a display of a wearable head device associated with the recipient. A sender of the content has a preference for a second physical location at which the content is to be presented to the respective recipient of the plurality of recipients. A respective final physical location for the presentation of the content for the respective recipient of the plurality of recipients is identified. The respective final physical location is based on the respective recipient's preference and the sender's preference. It is determined whether the respective recipient is proximate to a zone associated with the respective final physical location. In accordance with a determination that the respective recipient is proximate to the zone, an alert is generated on the wearable head device, the alert associated with the respective final physical location. It is determined whether the respective recipient is in the zone associated with the respective final physical location. In accordance with a determination that the respective recipient is in the zone, the content is caused to be presented to the respective recipient of the plurality of recipients.

1. A method, comprising: receiving digital content for presentation on a see-through display of a recipient's wearable head device, wherein the recipient is selected by a sender of the digital content; receiving a geo-spatial location associated with the digital content for presentation on the see-through display of the recipient's wearable head device, wherein the geo-spatial location is selected by the sender of the digital content; receiving a physical attribute associated with the digital content for presentation on the see-through display of the recipient's wearable head device, wherein the physical attribute is selected by the sender of the digital content; and presenting, based on data indicative that the recipient is in proximity to the geo-spatial location, the digital content on the see-through display of the recipient's wearable head device such that spatial placement of the presented digital content within a field of view of the see-through display is based, at least in part, on the physical attribute associated with the digital content for presentation on the see-through display.

2

2. The method of claim 1 , wherein the step of presenting further includes presenting the digital content when the wearable head device is aligned in a pre-selected direction.

3

3. The method of claim 1 , wherein the step of presenting further includes presenting the digital content when an eye of the recipient is predicted to be aligned in a pre-selected direction.

4

4. The method of claim 1 , further comprising: selecting the digital content with an external user interface to re-position the digital content.

5

5. The method of claim 1 , wherein the step of presenting further includes altering a position of the presented digital content based on sensor feedback.

6

6. The method of claim 1 , wherein the physical attribute is a type of physical attribute, the type of physical attribute is associated with the digital content for presentation on the see-through display of the recipient's wearable head device, and the type of physical attribute is selected by the sender of the digital content.

7

7. The method of claim 6 , further comprising: selecting, based at least in part on the type of physical attribute, a particular physical attribute proximate the geo-spatial location for the spatial placement of the digital content to be presented within the field of view of the see-through display, wherein the step of presenting includes presenting, based on data indicative that the recipient is in proximity to the geo-spatial location, the digital content on the see-through display of the recipient's wearable head device such that the spatial placement of the presented digital content within the field of view of the see-through display is proximate the selected particular physical attribute.

8

8. A wearable head device, comprising: a see-through display; and one or more processors, wherein: the wearable head device is configured to perform: receiving digital content for presentation on the see-through display of the wearable head device of a recipient, wherein the recipient is selected by a sender of the digital content, and receiving a geo-spatial location associated with the digital content for presentation on the see-through display of the recipient's wearable head device, wherein the geo-spatial location is selected by the sender of the digital content; receiving a physical attribute associated with the digital content for presentation on the see-through display of the recipient's wearable head device, wherein the physical attribute is selected by the sender of the digital content; and the one or more processors are configured to perform: presenting, via the see-through display, based on data indicative that the recipient is in proximity to the geo-spatial location, the digital content on the see-through display of the recipient's wearable head device such that spatial placement of the presented digital content within a field of view of the see-through display is based, at least in part, on the physical attribute associated with the digital content for presentation on the see-through display.

9

9. The wearable head device of claim 8 , wherein the step of presenting further includes presenting the digital content when the wearable head device is 21 aligned in a pre-selected direction.

10

10. The wearable head device of claim 8 , wherein the step of presenting further includes presenting the digital content when an eye of the recipient is predicted to be aligned in a pre-selected direction.

11

11. The wearable head device of claim 8 , wherein the wearable head device is configured to further perform: selecting the digital content with an external user interface to re-position the digital content.

12

12. The wearable head device of claim 8 , wherein the step of presenting further includes altering a position of the presented digital content based on sensor feedback.

13

13. The wearable head device of claim 8 , wherein the physical attribute is a type of physical attribute, the type of physical attribute is associated with the digital content for presentation on the see-through display of the recipient's wearable head device, and the type of physical attribute is selected by the sender of the digital content.

14

14. The wearable head device of claim 13 , wherein the wearable head device is configured to perform: selecting, based at least in part on the type of physical attribute, a particular physical attribute proximate the geo-spatial location for the spatial placement of the digital content to be presented within the field of view of the see-through display, wherein the step of presenting includes presenting, via the see-through display, based on data indicative that the recipient is in proximity to the geo-spatial location, the digital content on the see-through display of the recipient's wearable head device such that the spatial placement of the presented digital content within the field of view of the see-through display is proximate the selected particular physical attribute.

15

15. A non-transitory computer-readable medium comprising instructions which, when executed by one or more processors of a wearable head device, cause the wearable head device to execute a method, the method comprising: receiving digital content for presentation on a see-through display of a recipient's wearable head device, wherein the recipient is selected by a sender of the digital content; receiving a geo-spatial location associated with the digital content for presentation on the see-through display of the recipient's wearable head device, wherein the geo-spatial location is selected by the sender of the digital content; receiving a physical attribute associated with the digital content for presentation on the see-through display of the recipient's wearable head device, wherein the physical attribute is selected by the sender of the digital content; and presenting, by the one or more processors via the see-through display, based on data indicative that the recipient is in proximity to the geo-spatial location, the digital content on the see-through display of the recipient's wearable head device such that spatial placement of the presented digital content within a field of view of the see-through display is based, at least in part, on the physical attribute associated with the digital content for presentation on the see-through display.
