A database system may include a machine learning model which may be used to perform various data analytics for data stored in the database system. In response to a request to invoke the machine learning model to generate a prediction from data stored in the database system, the database system may perform one or more optimization operations, as part of a query plan, to prepare the data to make it suitable for use by the machine learning model.

The system of claim 1, wherein the operation performed to prepare the first set of data comprises at least one of (1) transforming at least some of the first set of data from one format to another format, (2) scaling at least some of the first set of data from one range to another range, (3) adding one or more delimiters to specify a boundary between at least some of the first set of data, (4) reordering a sequence of at least some of the first set of data, or (5) sampling the first set of data to create a new set of data for generating the prediction with the machine learning model.
4. The system of claim 1, wherein the database system is a data warehouse service of a provider network.

The method of claim 5, wherein the operation performed to prepare the first set of data comprises at least one of (1) transforming at least some of the first set of data from one format to another format, (2) scaling at least some of the first set of data from one range to another range, (3) adding one or more delimiters to specify a boundary between at least some of the first set of data, (4) reordering a sequence of at least some of the first set of data, or (5) sampling the first set of data to create a new set of data for generating the prediction with the machine learning model.
8. The method of claim 5, wherein the operation performed to prepare the first set of data is identified at the query engine based at least in part on a type of the machine learning model specified in the statement.
9. The method of claim 5, wherein the operation performed to prepare the first set of data is specified in the statement.
13. The method of claim 5, wherein the database system is a data warehouse service of a provider network.

The one or more non-transitory computer readable media of claim 14, wherein the operation performed to prepare the first set of data comprises at least one of (1) transforming at least some of the first set of data from one format to another format, (2) scaling at least some of the first set of data from one range to another range, (3) adding one or more delimiters to specify a boundary between at least some of the first set of data, or (4) reordering a sequence of at least some of the first set of data.
17. The one or more non-transitory computer readable media of claim 14, wherein the operation performed to prepare the first set of data is identified at the query engine based at least in part on a type of the machine learning model specified in the statement.
