Technical Abstract

Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for interference mitigation. An exemplary method performed by a base station generally includes determining, based on a location of another base station and information regarding the other base station, that the other base station is likely to experience interference while receiving an uplink transmission due to a downlink transmission by the base station and forming a null in a beam of the downlink transmission in a direction matching the location of the other base station.

2. The method of claim 1, wherein the first slot is a flexible slot that does not have a fixed duplex direction.

3

3. The method of claim 1, wherein the first slot is a fixed slot that has a fixed DL duplex direction for a first channel for the BS and has a fixed uplink (UL) duplex direction for a second channel, adjacent to the first channel, for another BS neighboring the BS.

4

4. The method of claim 1, wherein determining the threshold elevation angle comprises obtaining the threshold elevation angle from a static or semi-static configuration.

5

5. The method of claim 1, wherein determining the threshold elevation angle comprises determining the threshold elevation angle based on a feedback from another BS.

6

6. The method of claim 5, wherein the feedback comprises an indication of an amount of interference the other BS has experienced or is experiencing.

9

9. The method of claim 8, wherein the first slot is a flexible slot that does not have a fixed duplex direction.

10

10. The method of claim 8, wherein the first slot is a fixed slot that has a fixed UL duplex direction for a first channel for the BS and has a fixed downlink (DL) duplex direction for a second channel, adjacent to the first channel, for another BS neighboring the BS.

11. The method of claim 8, wherein determining the threshold elevation angle comprises obtaining the threshold elevation angle from a static or semi-static configuration.

12

12. The method of claim 8, wherein determining the threshold elevation angle comprises determining the threshold elevation angle based on a feedback from another BS.
