Methods and apparatus for receiving virtual relocation during a network conference. In an embodiment, a method is provided for relocating a conference participant during a network conference. The method includes receiving a first video stream having a first background, transmitting a second video stream, and receiving a request to remove a background from the second video stream. The method also includes removing the background from the second video stream to generate a modified video stream and transmitting the modified video stream. The method also includes receiving an instruction for relocating the modified video stream within the first background and relocating the modified video stream within the first background based on the instruction.

2. The method of claim 1, wherein defining the position comprises adjusting at least one of position, size, aspect ratio, or rotation of the modified first video stream within in the second background.
3. The method of claim 1, wherein the instruction includes parameters identifying a position, size, aspect ratio, or rotation of the modified first video stream within in the second background.
4. The method of claim 1, further comprising receiving authorization to define the position and transmit the instruction.

The method of claim 1, wherein the network conference is hosted by a conference system, and wherein (i) the receiving a first video stream, (ii) the transmitting the second video stream, (iii) the transmitting the request to remove the first background, (iv) receiving the modified first video stream, and (v) the transmitting an instruction occur via the conference system.

The system of claim 8, wherein the one or more processors are configured to execute further processor-executable instructions stored in the non-transitory computer-readable medium to adjust at least one of position, size, aspect ratio, or rotation of the modified first video stream within in the second background.
10. The system of claim 8, wherein the instruction includes parameters identifying a position, size, aspect ratio, or rotation of the modified first video stream within in the second background.
11. The system of claim 8, wherein the one or more processors are configured to execute further processor-executable instructions stored in the non-transitory computer-readable medium to receive authorization to define the position and transmit the instruction.

The system of claim 8, wherein the network conference is hosted by a conference system, and wherein (i) the receiving a first video stream, (ii) the transmitting the second video stream, (iii) the transmitting the request to remove the first background, (iv) receiving the modified first video stream, and (v) the transmitting an instruction occur via the conference system.
16. The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 15, further comprising processor-executable instructions configured to cause the one or more processors to adjust at least one of position, size, aspect ratio, or rotation of the modified first video stream within in the second background.
17. The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 15, wherein the instruction includes parameters identifying a position, size, aspect ratio, or rotation of the modified first video stream within in the second background.
18. The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 15, further comprising processor-executable instructions configured to cause the one or more processors to receive authorization to define the position and transmit the instruction.
