A multi-module overhead display assembly for use with a gaming system. The multi-module overhead display assembly has a housing module releasably connected to one or more other housing modules for display of content above a game machine. A mounting structure for the releasably connected housing module is provided to be connectable to a mount system. At least one housing module comprises a controller having a processor and memory storing instructions, which, when executed, cause the processor to individually control each of the housing modules to display the content.
Legal claims defining the scope of protection, as filed with the USPTO.
2. The modular expandable signage system of claim 1, wherein the first modular overhead display housing comprises at least one base display module having the first plurality of display panels for displaying some or all of a content and an image, and the second modular overhead display housing comprises at least one end display housing having the second plurality of display panels for displaying some or all of the content and the image.
3. The modular expandable signage system of claim 2, wherein the first modular overhead display housing further comprises a mount panel releasably coupling the first plurality of display panels to the first modular overhead display housing.
4. The modular expandable signage system of claim 1, wherein the first plurality of display panels comprise one or more of a plurality of liquid crystal display panels and a plurality of light-emitting diode panels.
5. The modular expandable signage system of claim 1, further comprising a third modular overhead display housing pivotally coupled to the track support system and releasably connected to the second modular overhead display housing, the first modular overhead display housing, the second modular overhead display housing, and the third modular overhead display housing forming a unitary display assembly, the third modular overhead display housing having a third plurality of display panels, a third lighting device secured about the third modular overhead display housing and having a third releasable electrical interface operable to be interfaced with the second releasable electrical interface.
6. The modular expandable signage system of claim 1, wherein the second lighting device is daisy-chained to the first lighting device.
7. The modular expandable signage system of claim 1, wherein the first modular overhead display housing is mechanically and electrically connected to the second modular overhead display housing with at least one of a clip, fastener, and interlocking connector.
9. The gaming system of claim 8, wherein the first modular overhead display housing comprises at least one base display housing having the first plurality of display panels operable for displaying some or all of a content and an image, and the second modular overhead display housing comprises at least one end display housing having the second plurality of display panels operable for displaying some or all of the content and the image.
10. The gaming system of claim 8, wherein the first modular overhead display housing further comprises a mount panel releasably coupling the first plurality of display panels to the first modular overhead display housing.
11. The gaming system of claim 8, wherein the first plurality of display panels comprise one or more of a plurality of liquid crystal display panels and a plurality of light-emitting diode panels.
