The action effect display method includes displaying a first virtual object, the first virtual object being configured to execute a target action with an action effect; receiving an action execution operation, the action execution operation controlling the first virtual object to execute the target action in an accelerated manner; and playing effect segments in sequence to obtain an adjusted action effect of the target action corresponding to execution speed information, wherein at least two of the effect segments are played according to different adjustment ratios.
