Complete technical specification and implementation details from the patent document.
The present invention relates to a cushion or mattress and, more particularly, to an inflatable cushion.
A conventional inflatable cushionin accordance with the prior art shown incomprises an upper surface layer, a lower surface layer, an upper adhesive film layer, a lower adhesive film layer, a filling layer, and an air valve. The filling layeris mounted between the upper surface layerand the lower surface layer. The air valveis mounted on the upper surface layer. In use, air is introduced from the air valveinto the filling layerso that the filling layeris inflated and expanded. However, when an article, such as a pillow, a sleeping bag, another inflatable cushion or the like, is placed on the conventional inflatable cushion, the article easily slips on the upper surface layer, thereby causing inconvenience to the user. When the upper surface layeris provided with a Velcro tape, the conventional inflatable cushionmay be used to connect an article with a Velcro tape. However, the Velcro tape is locally arranged on the upper surface layer, so that the article is located at a determined position that cannot be adjusted freely according to the user's requirement. In addition, the Velcro tape is made of hard material, thereby easily causing an uncomfortable sensation to the user when lying on the conventional inflatable cushion.
The primary objective of the present invention is to provide an inflatable cushion with functions of combination and assembly.
In accordance with the present invention, there is provided an inflatable cushion comprising an upper surface layer, a lower surface layer, an upper coating layer, a lower coating layer, and a filling layer. Peripheral portions of the upper surface layer, the lower surface layer, the upper coating layer, and the lower coating layer are sealed and fused. The filling layer is mounted between the upper surface layer and the lower surface layer. The upper surface layer is made of an elastic hook and loop fastener formed by warp knitting. The upper coating layer coats and covers a bottom of the upper surface layer. The upper coating layer may be adhered to the upper surface layer. The upper coating layer is air-tight.
Further benefits and advantages of the present invention will become apparent after a careful reading of the detailed description with appropriate reference to the accompanying drawings.
Referring to the drawings and initially to, an inflatable cushionin accordance with the preferred embodiment of the present invention comprises an upper surface layer, a lower surface layer, an upper coating (or adhesive film) layer, a lower coating (or adhesive film) layer, a filling (or packing) layer, and an air valve.
Peripheral portions of the upper surface layer, the lower surface layer, the upper coating layer, and the lower coating layerare sealed and fused. The filling layeris mounted between the upper surface layerand the lower surface layer. Preferably, the filling layermay be made of foam cotton, air, goose down or other materials that can keep warm. The air valveis mounted on the upper surface layer.
In use, air is introduced from the air valveinto the filling layerso that the filling layeris inflated and expanded. Thus, the inflatable cushionis placed on the ground to facilitate the user lying outdoors. In addition, the filling layerprovides a warming function.
The upper surface layeris made of an elastic hook and loop fastener (or fabric) formed by warp knitting. The upper coating layercoats and covers a bottom of the upper surface layer. The upper coating layermay be adhered to the upper surface layer. The upper coating layeris air-tight (or air-impermeable).
In the preferred embodiment of the present invention, the elastic hook and loop fastener of the upper surface layeris made of polyester, Nylon, wide knitting fabric or textile cloth formed by warp knitting.
In the preferred embodiment of the present invention, the lower surface layeris made of an elastic hook and loop fastener (or fabric) formed by warp knitting. The lower coating layercoats and covers a top of the lower surface layer. The lower coating layermay be adhered to the lower surface layer. The lower coating layeris air-tight (or air-impermeable).
In the preferred embodiment of the present invention, the elastic hook and loop fastener of the lower surface layeris made of polyester, Nylon, wide knitting fabric or textile cloth formed by warp knitting.
In practice, an article, such as a pillow, a sleeping bag, another inflatable cushion or a warming pad, is placed on the inflatable cushion. The article has a surface with a hook-and-loop fastening function. Thus, when the article is placed on the upper surface layerof the inflatable cushion, the article can be positioned at any position of the upper surface layer. At this time, the upper surface layeris constructed by warp knitting to form a soft contact face, thereby providing a comfortable sensation to the user when lying on the inflatable cushion.
Referring towith reference to, a connecting memberis mounted between two inflatable cushionsto connect the two inflatable cushions. The connecting memberhas a top layer and a bottom layer each having a hook and loop fastening function. Each of the top layer and the bottom layer of the connecting memberis made of an elastic hook and loop fastener (or fabric) or a Velcro tape.
Accordingly, the elastic hook and loop fastener is fully distributed on a whole face of the upper surface layer, so that an article with a hook-and-loop fastening function is combined and assembled with the inflatable cushionat any position of the upper surface layerto satisfy different requirements of the users. In addition, the elastic hook and loop fastener is fully distributed on a whole face of the upper surface layer, and the upper surface layeris constructed by warp knitting to form a soft contact face, thereby providing a comfortable sensation to the user when lying on the inflatable cushion.
Although the invention has been explained in relation to its preferred embodiment(s) as mentioned above, it is to be understood that many other possible modifications and variations can be made without departing from the scope of the present invention. It is, therefore, contemplated that the appended claim or claims will cover such modifications and variations that fall within the scope of the invention.
