This invention relates to the filed of portable toilet seats, more specifically to drop-stitch inflatable, portable, multi-use, in various size toilet seats that can be utilized by adults and children to safely use on top of standard traditional toilet. Accordingly, the present specification makes specific reference thereto. However, it is to be appreciated that aspects of the present invention are also equally amenable to other like applications, devices and methods of manufacture.
Toddlers and young children learning how to potty train is a milestone in their development. Having a consistent method of how to use the toilet is the foundation to training. Many children are bustled between home, day care, family and friends locations making it difficult to provide a child-friendly and sanitary toilet seat for them to use. Having a portable and inflatable toilet seat that can be easily transported from one destination to the next as well as easily stored when not in use is and invaluable asset to parents and children alike. In addition, adults who desire to restrict their paper use, have conditions requiring a softer toilet seat, or are hygienically sensitive when using public, hotel and common use toilets may find the development of the drop-stitch portable inflatable toilet seat is the answer to their concerns.
Generally, portable toilet seats are hard and not easily transportable. They are mainly designed to remain in one place or in the case of child toilet seats, store within a specific area. This invention using lightweight drop-stitch fabric is able be carried inside a tote bag, inflate to be sturdy, durable and comfortable as well as deflate for easy transporting, allow use in multiple environments and stable for supporting various body weights. This invention accomplishes the foregoing as it is lightweight stable inflatable portable toilet seat using drop-stitch fabric.
The principal and secondary objects of the invention are to provide a stable portable inflatable toilet seat. These and other objects can be achieved by using drop stitch fabric to fashion a durable, sturdy and lightweight portable toilet seat that inflates for use. The following is a simplified summary in order to provide a basic understanding of some aspects of the disclosed innovation. This summary is not an extensive overview as that will follow the detailed summary, and it's not intended to identify key/critical elements or to delineate the scope thereof. Its sole purpose is to present some concepts in a simplified form.
Embodiments of the present invention comprise that of an inflatable portable toilet seat. The portable inflatable toilet seat may be adapted to inflate and hold a human's body weight during the time of elimination. The portable inflatable toilet seat may be deflated and stored until next use.
In embodiments of the invention the inflatable portable toilet seat is constructed of drop-stitch fabric with components to attach on top of a traditional toilet seat. The unit it may be equipped with a polyvinyl chloride (herein referred to as PVC) like band to grip onto the traditional toilet seat or it may have connectors to hold it in place without deviating from the invention portable inflatable toilet seat. Due to the flexibility of the material, drop-stitch fabric, manufacturing can include alternative features without modifying the invention, portable inflatable toilet seat.
In embodiments of the invention there are two main components to the portable inflatable toilet seat and the connecting mechanisms.
The first is the toilet seat. The toilet seat is constructed in a toroidal like shape using drop-stitch fabric. The inflatable toilet seat may use a PVC like band, connectors, Velcro and/or buckles that affix to the inflatable toilet seat for stabilizing it on top of a traditional toilet seat. The inflatable toilet seat may have a valve that penetrates the drop switch fabric for inflating.
Lastly, the mechanisms for connecting the portable inflatable toilet seat to a traditional toilet seat. During manufacturing a band made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) material may be affixed to the peripheral of the inflatable toilet seat, but may not inflate. In other embodiments to the invention removable and adjustable connectors or buckles may be affixed to the peripheral of drop stitch fabric inflatable toilet seat. In another alternative to the embodiment, clamps or Velcro straps, may be affixed or penetrate through the peripheral of the inflatable toilet seat to join it to the traditional toile seat. It will be understood that features described herein may be omitted, additional features may be included, and/or features described herein may be combined in a manner different from the specific combinations recited herein, all without departing from the spirit of the invention, portable inflatable toilet seat.
Additionally, PVC seams may act as scams where two pieces of drop stitch fabric are unable to connect. This is related to the manufacturing not to the utility of the unit.
An object of the invention is to provide an easy to use portable toilet seat for adults and children.
Another object of the invention is to provide a lightweight inflatable portable toilet seat for easy transportation and storage.
