Complete technical specification and implementation details from the patent document.
The present application claims priority to, and the benefit of, U.S. Provisional Application No. 63/637,951, which was filed on Apr. 24, 2024, and is incorporated herein by reference in its entirety.
The present invention relates generally to the field of lint roller tab devices. More specifically, the present invention relates to a tab for lint roller sheets to make them easier to find. Accordingly, the present disclosure makes specific reference thereto. Nonetheless, it is to be appreciated that aspects of the present invention are also equally applicable to other like applications, devices, and methods of manufacture.
By way of background, this invention relates to improvements in lint roller tab devices. Generally, lint rollers can be useful for removing lint and other debris from clothing prior to wear. Once a portion of the lint roller is used, however, it can be difficult to pull off that section of the sheet. Accordingly, people may be looking for easier, and more accessible ways to grasp the seam of the lint roller sheet and pull it off the roller.
Further, the use of lint roller sheets to collect lint and other debris is well-known in the prior art. However, it would be desirable to include a tab in addition to the seam between lint sheets so as to access each specific sheet easier. For example, it would be desirable to have a lint roller with tabs between each adhesive sheet designed to make removing used lint sheets easier. These lint sheets are often sticky and do not have any grip when a person is searching to find the seam. Once the lint sheets are full, the seams are almost impossible to find as people must search for this minuscule line covered in debris. Accordingly, a tab would be useful to allow people to easily see where this seam would be, to allow an easier disposal of used sheets.
Accordingly, there is a demand for an improved lint roller tab device that can attach to adhesive lint sheets. More particularly, there is a demand for a non-adhesive tab attached to adhesive lint sheets to allow for easier finding and removal of used lint sheets from the lint roller.
Therefore, there exists a long-felt need in the art for a lint roller tab device that provides users with an improved lint roller with tabs on each sheet to easily pull away used sheets from the roller. There is also a long-felt need in the art for a lint roller tab device that utilizes a non-adhesive material for the tabs to make them easy to grab without sticking to the hands. Further, there is a long-felt need in the art for a lint roller tab device that allows users to easily remove unwanted particles from clothing and reveal a fresh, clean sheet on the lint roller with minimal effort. Moreover, there is a long-felt need in the art for a device that offers a much more convenient method of removing used lint roller sheets from the roller. Further, there is a long-felt need in the art for a lint roller tab device that accommodates the visually impaired users and those with limited physical dexterity. Finally, there is a long-felt need in the art for a lint roller tab device that can be flush with the lint sheet or stuck onto the lint sheet.
The subject matter disclosed and claimed herein, in one embodiment thereof, comprises a lint roller tab device. The device is an improved lint roller with tabs on each sheet to easily pull away used sheets from the roller. The lint roller tab device comprises a body component that is configured in a rectangular shape with adjustable measurements. The body component would comprise a bottom half and a top half with the bottom half being a transparent structure that is completely flat. The body component also comprises a non-adhesive top half which is made of a thin plastic material. Thus, each lint roller tab device functions as a suitable way of easily finding and removing the lint sheet on a lint roller when the lint sheet has been used. The device can be completely non-adhesive or have an adhesive portion which is stuck onto the lint sheet, as well.
In this manner, the lint roller tab device of the present invention accomplishes all of the foregoing objectives and provides users with a device that provides an improved lint roller with tabs on each sheet to easily pull away used sheets from the roller. The device is a partially transparent, plastic structure that easily connects with the lint sheet seam and also sticks out of the lint roller for easy accessibility. The device can be manufactured of a thin, plastic material.
