The present disclosure relates to personal carrying devices, namely, wallets.
The concept of a wallet dates back to ancient times when people used pouches made from leather, cloth, or animal skins to carry coins and small items. In the 19th century, the modern wallet emerged with the standard features we recognize today, like compartments for bills and slots for cards.
The 20th century saw significant innovations in wallet design, particularly with the rise of synthetic materials like nylon and polyester. These materials offered durability and flexibility, making wallets more functional and affordable. The introduction of credit cards in the mid-20th century further influenced wallet design, leading to the inclusion of additional card slots and RFID-blocking technology to protect against electronic theft.

Within the lastyears, the design and use of wallets has expanded substantially. Today, most people carry some sort of wallet or card case, even if they do not carry paper currency. Additionally, the development of different materials and design techniques in the last century has allowed wallet makers to design more functional, lighter, and more stylish wallets. However, many modern wallets still have long-standing issues, such as being too bulky to fit comfortably in a pocket or being so small that they cannot hold what the user needs.

In some embodiments, the at least one protruding portionis movable, flexible, and/or compressible to allow the at least one cardinto and/or out of the card area. According to some embodiments, the at least one protruding portionretains the at least one cardwithin the card areaof the wallet.
illustrate front perspective views of the wallet, according to some embodiments. These figures show similar views tobut flippeddegrees onto the opposite face, such that an outer faceof the front portionis visible.also illustrate the non-ejected modeand the ejected mode, similar to, respectively. The walletmay include an ejector mechanism, which may be located inside the card areaof the wallet, as shown in. In some embodiments, the ejector mechanismis configured to at least partially eject the at least one cardfrom the card areain response to moving (e.g., sliding, adjusting, pulling, flipping, gliding, shifting, and/or the like) the front portionof the walletwith respect to the back portionand/or the at least one side portion. In some embodiments, the ejector mechanismis configured to at least partially eject the at least one cardfrom the card areain response to moving (e.g., sliding, adjusting, pulling, flipping, gliding, shifting, and/or the like) the back portionof the walletwith respect to the front portionand/or the at least one side portion. In some embodiments, the ejector mechanismis configured to at least partially eject the at least one cardfrom the card areain response to moving (e.g., sliding, adjusting, pulling, flipping, gliding, shifting, and/or the like) one or more of the at least one side portionsof the walletwith respect to the front portionand/or the back portion.
According to some embodiments, the ejector mechanismis configured to at least partially eject the at least one cardfrom the card areain response to moving and/or providing a force on and/or against an external component, such as a recessed area, handle, cord, button, tab, or the like. The external componentis further illustrated inas a recessed area on the front portion, although it is understood that this is not limiting as to the form and/or location of the external component. In some embodiments, the external componentis at least a section of the front portion, the back portion, and/or the side portion. Stated differently, the ejector mechanismmay be responsible for moving the walletbetween the non-ejected modeand the ejected mode.
illustrate back views of the wallet, according to some embodiments. These figures show a back view of the non-ejected modeand the ejected modeof the walletsimilar to that of, respectively.both illustrate the back portionof the walletas well as the clip.additionally shows an inner faceof the front portion, as well as the at least one cardat least partially ejected from the wallet, as a result of the front portionbeing moved to cause the ejector mechanismto eject the at least one card.
