Detailed Description

Complete technical specification and implementation details from the patent document.

The present disclosure relates to an office chair, more specifically to an electrically operated multi-functional chair.

Office chairs are the types of chairs that are provided for the convenience of daily work in workplaces or social activities. Nowadays, office chairs need to meet the usual functions required by users during work hours. Due to the limited office space, most of staff put their arms and heads on the tables while taking a nap at lunch break or needing a rest. However, such postures will affect digestion and cause poor circulation in body parts, including buttocks and legs, resulting in numbness in the feet.

Although some manufacturers produce manually operated dual-functional office chairs for sitting and reclining positions, there are still shortcomings as follows.

The main objective of the present disclosure is to provide an electrically operated multi-functional chair that uses an electric control device to drive the linkage mechanism installed on the underside of the seat to move the seat, leg rest, and backrest synchronously, in order to achieve the result of synchronously adjusting a chair setting of sitting or relining.

To achieve the aforementioned objective, the structure of the present disclosure comprises a rotatable chair base, a seat, a backrest, and a leg rest that can be folded out from below the seat, wherein

Accordingly, the leg rest, driven by the drive device, is folded out from below the seat, wherein the drive device is controlled by a controller. At the same time, the drive device synchronously drives the sliding plate to move, making the backrest to recline synchronously and to create an effect of reclining/lying.

According to the descriptions above, features and functions of the present disclosure are provided as follows.

As illustrated in, the electrically operated multi-functional chair of the present disclosure comprises a rotatable chair base, a seat, a backrest, and a leg restthat can be folded out from below the seat.

The rotatable chair baseis connected to the underside of the seatand the rotatable chair baseallows the seatto rotate. In addition, the rotatable chair baseis equipped with casters, so that the chair of the present disclosure can move around easily through the casters.

The seathas a drive deviceinstalled in the center of the underside thereof; the drive deviceused in the present disclosure can be an electric cylinder, an electric push bar, or a linear drive equipment.

The seatand the leg restare connected through a linkage bar set, wherein the drive devicecan drive the linkage bar setto fold the leg restout from below the seat. The aforementioned methods of folding out the leg restare illustrated inand. The linkage bar setcomprises a first connecting barand a second connecting bar, both configured in a V shape. A first endof the first connecting baris connected to the seattoward the backend thereof; a second endof the first connecting baris connected to the leg restnear the backend thereof. A first endof the second connecting baris connected to the seatat a location toward the frontend thereof; a second endof the second connecting baris connected to the leg restnear the frontend thereof. Furthermore, a fulcrumis disposed on and between the first connecting barand the second connecting bar. A third connecting baris disposed on the lower area of the first endof the second connecting bar. An extension barof the drive deviceis connected to the third connecting bar. As illustrated inand, the drive deviceis controlled by a controllerto drive the extension barextending forward, which can move the third connecting barand force the first connecting barand the second connecting barto move forward and fold out the leg restfrom below the seat.

The backrestis disposed in one side of the seat; the lower end of the backrestis pivoted to a sliding plate; the sliding plateis connected to the drive device. Furthermore, the backrestis pivoted to the seatthrough a first pivot end; the backrestis pivoted to a sliding platethrough a second pivot end. One end of the sliding plate, opposite to the second pivot end, is) connected to the first endof the first connecting bar. As illustrated inand, when the drive devicedrives the leg restto fold out, the aforementioned sliding plateis driven by the first connecting bar, forcing the backrestto gradually leaning downward to a flat position.

The illustrations disclosed into, it is clearly that the structure of the present disclosure not only can adjust the leg restby folding out under a retractable adjustment but also can adjust the recline angle of the backrest, so that users can make adjustments for sitting or reclining postures safely while being on the chair of the present disclosure, and achieve the most comfortable setting.

Please refer toand. In one embodiment of the present disclosure, the seatis a soft foam seat padhaving a layer of fleece fabric thereon that increases a more comfortable feeling to users while sitting in the chair.

In one embodiment of the present disclosure, the backrestcan further comprises a backrest cushionmade of mesh fabric that supports the user's back and, at the same time, has the advantage of breathability, not being stuffy, and good air circulation.

In one embodiment of the present disclosure, the backrest cushionis equipped with a massage device. The massage devicecan massage the waist and back of the user while the user sits or lies in the chair; the feature increases the quality of the chair of the present disclosure.

As illustrated in, a headrestis disposed on the backrest cushionto support the user's head. Meanwhile, the headrestfurther comprises a L-shape handlefor adjusting the headrest. The backrest cushioncomprises an adjustment slotto adjust the height of the L-shape handlewith respect to the adjustment slot, which is a function for adjusting the height of the headrest. In addition, the headresthas a rotating end, so that the headrestcan rotate while pivoting around the rotating endin order to adjust the angle of the headrest.

As illustrated in, both sides of the seatare disposed with an armrestseparately. The armrestcomprises an armrest height-adjustable unit, an armrest angle-adjustable unit, and an armrest pad. The armrest height-adjustable unitcan adjust the height of the armrest; the armrest angle-adjustable unit, disposed between the armrest height-adjustable unitand the armrest pad, can adjust the tilt angle of the of the armrest pad. Please refer to. The armrest padcan also be adjusted in the horizontal direction through the armrest angle-adjustable unit; therefore, the user can rest their arms or hands on the armrests in a proper and comfortable way either in a sitting or reclining position.

In summary, the advantages of the present disclosure are as follows.
