A hand-held exercise device is disclosed. The exercise device includes a series of bell-shaped connectors. Each of the bell-shaped connector includes a spherical head and a spherical receiving cavity. The series is formed by rotatably coupling the spherical head of one bell-shaped connector to the receiving spherical cavity of another bell-shaped connector. The series of bell-shaped connectors is covered by a sheath for protection. A first end of the series of bell-shaped connectors has a spherical head in order to rotatably couple to a first handle having a coupler located at one end of the first handle. Similarly, a second end of the series of bell-shaped connectors has a receiving cavity in order to rotatably couple to a second handle having a coupler located at one end of the second handle.

Complete technical specification and implementation details from the patent document.
The present application claims priority under 35 U.S.C. § 119(e)(1) to provisional application No. 63/645,494 filed on May 10, 2024, the contents of which are incorporated herein by reference.
The present invention relates to exercise devices in general, and in particular to a method for manufacturing a hand-held exercise device.
There are many hand-held exercise devices in the market. For example, the one described in U.S. Pat. No. 6,193,637 has been enjoyed by many people over the years.
The present disclosure provides an improved method for manufacturing a hand-held exercise device.
In accordance with one embodiment of the present invention, a hand-held exercise device includes a series of bell-shaped connectors. Each of the bell-shaped connector includes a spherical head and a spherical receiving cavity. The series is formed by rotatably coupling the spherical head of one bell-shaped connector to the receiving spherical cavity of another bell-shaped connector. The series of bell-shaped connectors is covered by a sheath for protecting the integrity of the bell-shaped connectors.
All features and advantages of the present invention will become apparent in the following detailed written description.
Referring now to the drawings and in particular to, there is illustrated a diagram of a hand-held exercise device, according to one embodiment. As shown, a hand-held exercise deviceincludes a series of bell-shaped connectorsconnected to each other between a first handleand a second handle. Preferably, connectorsare made of plastic. Connectorsare protected by a sheaththat may be corrugated. The ends of sheathare inserted within collars-accordingly in order to prevent it from sliding off exercise device. Sheathis preferably made of plastic that is flexible such that it is capable of following the contours of connectorswhen exercise deviceis being in use. Alternatively, sheathcan be made of rubber or rubberized. Handles-may be made of plastic, wood or metal.
With reference now to, there is depicted a cross-sectional diagram of two connectorsrotatably linked to each other within exercise device, according to one embodiment. As shown, each of connectorsandincludes a spherical headand a spherical receiving cavity. Spherical receiving cavityis configured to receive spherical headof another connector such that spherical headcan rotate within spherical receiving cavity.
Referring now to, there is illustrated a diagram of first handleand second handle, according to one embodiment. As shown, first handleand second handleinclude a collarand a collar, respectively. Since first handleand second handleare substantially identical to each other, only collaris further described in further details. Collarincludes a coupler, which are formed by two concentric ring-shaped parts,, as depicted in, that allows collarto be coupled to either the spherical head or the receiving cavity of a connector. In, the coupler of handleis shown to be coupled to the spherical head of connector, and the coupler of handleis shown to be coupled to the receiving cavity of connector. With the coupler, handlecan be snapped into (or unsnapped from) either end of the series of connectors. Similarly, handlecan also be snapped into (or unsnapped from) either end of the series of connectorsin order to form exercise device.
Referring now to, there are depicted one handle of exercise devicebeing replaced by another object. As shown in, handlehas been replaced by a ball-shaped object. Ball-shaped objectcan be a baseball, softball or tennis ball. Alternatively, instead of ball-shaped object, handlecan be replaced by an elongated object, as shown in. Elongated objectcan be a tennis racket handle, golf club handle, etc.
As has been described, the present invention provides a method for manufacturing a hand-held exercise device.
While the invention has been particularly shown and described with reference to a preferred embodiment, it will be understood by those skilled in the art that various changes in form and detail may be made therein without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention.
