Complete technical specification and implementation details from the patent document.
The present invention relates to a foldable table provided with at least two foldable telescopic legs.
For a long time, it has been apparent that it is necessary to design foldable tables, with the aim of both minimizing the resulting size and facilitating their transport. This necessity is especially evident for people who want to make meals outdoors, such as in parks or while camping.
For some time now, it has also become apparent that it is necessary to design tables with systems for adjusting the height of the tabletop, enabling the average person to vary his or her working posture at a computer screen. This allows the choice between sitting or standing according to people's needs and the day in question.
In this context, numerous foldable/liftable/convertible table systems have been developed. These foldable table systems comprise ways to move from a bottom to a top position, and vice versa.
Thus, the state of the art distinguishes three main categories of foldable and liftable tables:
Thus, as an illustration of the state of the art, the well-known foldable and liftable tables usually comprise an adjustable “X” base. Other well-known foldable and liftable tables have pivot-mounted bases. These pivot-mounted bases must be handled separately, which makes it difficult to move from a bottom position at the table to a top position at the table, and vice versa, as the handling must be performed in several steps. The foldable tables with vertical bases, whose height is adjusted by using a jack, or a screw system, do not allow the use of the tabletop in a standing position.
In general, a disadvantage of the well-known foldable/liftable/convertible tables is the relative complexity of transporting them, the limited height adjustment of the tabletop to the seat height and the handling of these tables from a top position-or unfolded position—to a bottom position—or folded position, and vice versa. Indeed, the known foldable/liftable/convertible tables, to go from their top position to bottom position, and vice versa, generally require several operations and/or the intervention of two people.
Thus, in summary, state-of-the-art foldable/liftable tables are not designed to be transportable without using a vehicle, or the range of height adjustment of the tabletop does not allow the average person to use the table standing, or to unfold/fold up said tables, it is necessary to implement several steps and/or involve the intervention of two people.
An aim of the invention is to remedy the above-mentioned disadvantages, at least in part.
For this purpose, the invention relates to a table comprising at least one work surface and at least two legs bearing the work surface.
According to the invention, the legs are telescopic such that the table is adjustable between a bottom position and a top position, the table comprising at least one first handle () bearing at least a first one of the legs and at least one second handle bearing at least a second one of the legs, the handles being mounted pivotably relative to the surface about first axes such that the legs may be moved, when the table is in the bottom position, between a rest position in which the legs are arranged along the work surface and a service position in which the legs are offset from the work surface.
In this way, the height of the table is adjustable. This improves its ergonomics.
The invention thus provides an optimized liftable table.
The invention thus provides a table with an integrated mechanism for adjusting the height of the table.
The invention allows one user to be able to adjust the height of the table on its own. The operator may also change the position of the legs relative to the rest of the table on its own.
The invention proves to be advantageously relatively compact when the table is in the bottom position and the legs are in the resting position.
In this way, the table is foldable (due to the fact that its legs are foldable). This makes it easier to move from point A to point B.
The invention thus provides an optimized foldable table.
The invention thus provides a table with an integrated mechanism for folding/folding up the table.
The invention allows one user to be able to fold/fold up the table on its own. The operator may also change the position of the legs relative to the rest of the table on its own.
The invention proves to be advantageously relatively compact in its folded state.
Optionally, the tabletops are connected together by a plurality of hinges.
Optionally, the table comprises a locking mechanism that limits the rotation of a rotating handle of the table, optionally on a 90° angular segment.
Optionally, the legs allow the height of the work surface to be adjusted at different levels, optionally at a height from the floor of between 25 centimeters and 110 centimeters.
Optionally, the table is shaped such that in its folded state, it may be stored in a backpack and/or bag.
Optionally, the first axes are at the work surface.
Optionally, the tabletop connected with the handle comprises a notch on at least one of its sides, the handle being arranged at the notch.
Indeed, the inventor has been able to observe that the notch makes it easier for the handle to rotate around its first axis and/or allows a user to be able to manipulate the handle more easily.
Optionally, the work surface is formed of at least two tabletops mounted pivotably relative to one another along a second axis so as to be able to fold the work surface when the legs are in their resting position, the table thus also being adjustable between a folded state in which the work surface is folded and the feet are in the resting position and an unfolded state in which the work surface is unfolded and the feet are in the service position.
Optionally, the first axes and the second axis are parallel to one another.
Optionally, the table comprises a temporary closure system whenever it is in its folded state.
Optionally, the table is shaped such that in its folded state it may be stored in a backpack and/or a bag and preferably a computer backpack and/or a computer bag.
Optionally, the handles are mounted as an extension of the work surface.
Optionally, the tabletop connected with the handle comprises a notch on at least one of its sides.
Optionally, the handle is equipped with at least one button making it possible to act on at least the retraction of at least one of the legs ().
Optionally, the table comprises a locking mechanism that limits the rotation of the handle.
Optionally, at least one of the legs comprises at least two sets of uprights and at least one crossbar connecting two uprights facing one another.
Optionally, at least one of the legs comprises at least two uprights, at least one of the uprights comprising at least one hole and at least one of the uprights comprises a lug capable of engaging the hole to keep both uprights extended relative to one another.
Optionally, at least one of the legs is extended by a base, the base comprising a base element and at least one foot movably mounted movably mounted on the base element between a folded-up position and an extended position.
Optionally, the foot is movably mounted on the base element by a rotational movement.
Optionally, the table comprises a stabilization system.
Optionally, the legs are shaped to adjust the height of the work surface at various intermediate levels between the bottom and top positions.
Optionally, the first axes are at the work surface.
Other features and advantages of the invention will become apparent from the detailed description of a particular embodiment of the invention, given for illustrative purposes only.
With reference to the various figures, a table according to a particular embodiment of the invention is movably mounted between a folded state and an extended state, on the one hand, and (when in its extended state) is movably mounted between a bottom position and a top position.
The table comprises a work surface that, in this case, is defined by at least two tabletops.
Optionally, at least one hinge and, for example, at least two hinges and, for example, at least three hinges connect both tabletops. For example, two hingesA connect both tabletops to opposite edges of the tabletops, and a central hingeB, arranged between both hingesA, also connects both tabletops.
The table is thus divided into at least two parts, lengthwise. This means that both tabletopsare the same width as the table but are a different length (in this case, half the length).
Both tabletopsare thus pivotable relative to one another along an A-axis.
Optionally, at least one of the tabletopscomprises a frame, onto which a panelis fixed.
