The present disclosure relates to a single serve smoking packet. More particularly, the present disclosure relates to a single serve smoking packet and a method of creating the single serve smoking packet.

Smoking has been central to many cultures throughout the world for thousands of years. Past cultures often smoked for religious, medicinal, and/or social reasons, which is why smoking has withstood the test of time in a variety of these cultures throughout the world. Not only are the reasons cultures smoke different, but also the way that these cultures smoke and the types of plants being smoked. Cultures may utilize paper to roll the dried plant (e.g., cigarettes, cigars, joint), bongs, pipes, or other devices.

When using pipes and bongs, an individual has to pack a bowl by breaking a bud of the plant and pressing it into the bowl, thereby allowing the individual to smoke whatever plant is placed therein. During this process, parts of the plants may be lost to the floor or ground due to the mess that the grinding process creates. Furthermore, it is often a difficult process for older or younger individuals who may have issues with grinding and packing/loading the bowl on the pipe or bong. Another issue presented in the current state of packing pipes and bongs includes the lack of precise measuring when packing. As such, and for example, when an individual smokes a pipe withfor medicinal purposes, it is often extremely difficult to get the correct dose, which at times results in the individual being underdosed or overdosed. This can prevent the health benefits of smoking for some as they are not receiving enough to curtail any ailment that is being experienced or receiving so much that cognitive functions are diminished or impaired.

Accordingly, there is a need for a container/packet with plants to smoke that is easy to use and place in a bowl and creates precise doses of plants to be smoked. The present invention seeks to solve these and other problems.

In one embodiment, a single-serve packet for smoking comprises a shell and a smoking product positioned within the shell. The shell may include rolling paper known in the art. The rolling paper may include, but is not limited to, hemp leaves, corn husks, tobacco leaves, sage, lettuce, banana leaves, rice paper, cellulose, tissue paper, printer paper, or some combination thereof. In some embodiments, the shell may be prepared from a half sheet of 1¼ inch rolling paper.

With regard to the smoking product, it may be, but is not limited to, tobacco,, mugwort, skullcap, lavender, catnip, calendula, indian warrior,, passionflower, wild dagga, or any other variety of plant that may be smoked. In some embodiments, the packet may include a variety of different smoking products being a mixed configuration. In some embodiments, the smoking product may be 0.2-0.3 ounces that is placed in the shell.

In one embodiment, a method of preparing and smoking a packet comprises preparing a pre-determined amount of shell; acquiring smoking product; preparing the smoking product by grinding, shredding, and/or cutting depending on the type of smoking product; measuring a pre-determined amount of prepared smoking product; placing the pre-determined amount of smoking product in the shell; securing the shell by gathering corners until each corner of the shell makes contact with each other; twisting the gathered, mated corners until a stem is formed, securing the smoking product within a bulb; placing the packet in a bowl of a pipe; and lighting the packet to be smoked.

These terms should be understood as, for example, “including, but not limited to.”

As previously described, there is a need for a container/packet with plants to smoke that is easy to use and place in a bowl and creates precise doses of plants to be smoked. The present invention seeks to solve these and other problems.

To use a pipe or bong, users have to break up the plant so as to be packable into the bowl of the pipe or bong. As such, the users have to carry the plant and then take time to break it up or grind it in order to smoke it. This at times presents issues for users. Some of these issues arise from the age or inexperience of the user. For example, older users may not have the dexterity to break and load a bowl on the pipe or bong, creating a difficult, frustrating experience for the user. In addition, an inexperienced user that requires a specific dose of plant product may not be practiced enough to measure correct doses, which can lead to potential health problems. For example, when an individual smokes a pipe with marijuana for medicinal purposes, it is often extremely difficult to get the correct dose, which at times results in the individual being underdosed or overdosed.

The single-serve packet for smoking described herein includes a shell and a smoking product that is positionable within the shell. The packet may be configured to have a stem that allows a user to simply grab the stem to move the packet, thereby creating a place to grip the packet. It will be appreciated the single-serve packet creates specific doses that can be identified easily by a user, removes the mess that comes from traditional grinding of the plant product, removes the need to have a grinder or tray, and ultimately, is convenient in many situations. It will further be appreciated that users may use the packets in numerous situations, such as hiking, boating, or camping. The packets make smoking easy for any user whether new to smoking or experienced. The user can simply spend time enjoying smoking instead of the traditional approach of grinding, measuring (in some instances), packing, and smoking the plant.

As shown in, in one embodiment, a single-serve packet for smoking(hereinafter referred to as the “packet”) comprises a shelland a smoking productpositioned on and within the shell. The shellmay include rolling paper known in the art. The rolling paper may include, but is not limited to, hemp leaves, corn husks, tobacco leaves, sage, lettuce, banana leaves, rice paper, cellulose, tissue paper, printer paper, or some combination thereof. In some embodiments, the shellmay be prepared from a half sheet of 1¼ inch rolling paper. In other embodiments, the shellis prepared from rolling paper that is larger or small in dimensions than a half sheet of 1¼ inch rolling paper. It will be appreciated the thickness of the rolling may also vary from package to package or, in some embodiments, a package of packets may include a variety pack with different doses, meaning, for example, the rolling papers are different lengths and heights and/or thicknesses. This could lead to different amounts or doses of the smoking productwithin each packet. Furthermore, the sizes of rolling paper may be distinguished based on color or some other indicia. For example, a first size may be blue, a second size that is larger than the first size may be green, and a third size that is larger than both the first and second sizes may be orange. The color may also indicate the dose or amount of smoking product in the packet. Thus, a user would easily be able to select the correct dose by quickly visualizing the packet and its color.

In some embodiments, the shellwhen completed may include a first sectionand a second section. The first sectionmay include a stem, making it easier for a user to grasp and transport from a package to the bowl of a pipe or bong. The stemmay be configured from twisting the rolling paper in order to form the stem. More particularly, the stemmay be created after the smoking productis placed on the shelland cornersA,B,C,D are gathered and twisted. In some embodiments, the cornersA-D of the shellmay be adhered to one another vertically or may be folded and adhered, making a generally spherical packet. In some embodiments, the cornersA-D may be tied together, clamped, fastened, or use any other securement mechanism. In some embodiments, a machine may gather and seal, fasten, and/or twist the cornersA-D of the shell. In some embodiments, the shellmay be circular, for example, so that a user can gather the edges thereof to fasten the shell. Accordingly, no matter the shape of the shella user may secure the edges thereof so as to create the packet. The second sectionof the shellmay include a bulbthat is coupled to and a part of the stem. The bulbmay receive and house the smoking product. As discussed herein, the bulbmay vary in size and shape based on the quantity of the smoking productplaced therein and the type of smoking product. Furthermore, the shape of the packetmay change to a generally square-shaped, spherical, or any other shape.

With regard to the smoking product, it may be, but is not limited to, tobacco,, mugwort, skullcap, lavender, catnip, calendula, indian warrior,, passionflower, wild dagga, or any other variety of plant that may be smoked. In some embodiments, the packetmay include a variety of different smoking products being in a mixed configuration. In some embodiments, the smoking productmay be 0.2-0.3 ounces that is placed in the shell. In other embodiments, the smoking productmay be in a range from 0.1-0.5 ounces, or may be in a range that is smaller or larger.

In one embodiment, as shown in, a method of preparing and smoking a packetcomprises preparing a pre-determined amount of shell at step; acquiring smoking product at step; preparing the smoking product by grinding, shredding, and/or cutting depending on the type of smoking product at step; measuring a pre-determined amount of prepared smoking product (i.e., ground, shredded, cut) at step; placing the pre-determined amount of smoking product in/on the shell, for example, in the center thereof at step, sometimes packing or molding the smoking product prior to placement on the shell; gathering corners until each corner of the shell makes contact with each other at step; securing (e.g., twisting) the gathered, mated corners until a stem is formed, securing the smoking product within a bulb at step, or in some embodiments, adhere, fold, or secure the shell by some other means; placing the packet in a bowl of a pipe or a bong at step; and lighting the packet to be smoked at step.

It will be appreciated the single-serve packetcreates specific doses that can be identified easily by a user, removes the mess that comes from traditional grinding of the plant product, removes the need to have a grinder or tray, and ultimately, are convenient in many situations.
