A skin treatment applicator device includes an elastomeric band which can be extended across a user's back. The elastomeric band is stretchable to such that tension in the elastomeric band enables the elastomeric band to be compressed against the user's back. A block is attached to the elastomeric band and the block is placed against the user's back when the user stretches the elastomeric band across their back. A plurality of bristles is each attached to the block thereby enabling the plurality of bristles to be pressed against the user's back when the user stretches the elastomeric band across their back. Each of the plurality of bristles is comprised of a fluid impermeable material thereby enabling the plurality of bristles to spread a fluid skin treatment across the user's back.

Complete technical specification and implementation details from the patent document.
The disclosure relates to skin treatment devices and more particularly pertains to a new skin treatment device for applying a fluid skin treatment on a user's back. The device includes an elastomeric band which can be stretched across the user's back and a block that is attached to the elastomeric band. The device includes a plurality of bristles which are each attached to the block and which are each comprised of a fluid impermeable material to enable the plurality of bristles to spread the fluid skin treatment on the user's back.
The prior art relates to skin treatment devices including a variety of back applicator devices which each at least includes an applicator pad and a pair of strap each extending in opposite directions from the applicator pad to enable the applicator pad to be rubbed across the a user's back for applying a skin treatment to the user's back and a variety of skin treatment applicator devices which each at least includes an elongated strap that can be stretched across a user's back to apply a fluid skin treatment to the user's back. In no instance does the prior art disclose a skin treatment applicator device that includes an elastomeric band which is stretchable across a user's back and a block attached to the elastomeric band and a plurality of bristles each attached to the block for spreading a fluid skin treatment across the user's back.
An embodiment of the disclosure meets the needs presented above by generally comprising an elastomeric band which can be extended across a user's back.
There has thus been outlined, rather broadly, the more important features of the disclosure in order that the detailed description thereof that follows may be better understood, and in order that the present contribution to the art may be better appreciated. There are additional features of the disclosure that will be described hereinafter and which will form the subject matter of the claims appended hereto.
The objects of the disclosure, along with the various features of novelty which characterize the disclosure, are pointed out with particularity in the claims annexed to and forming a part of this disclosure.
With reference now to the drawings, and in particular tothereof, a new skin treatment device embodying the principles and concepts of an embodiment of the disclosure and generally designated by the reference numeralwill be described.
As best illustrated in, the skin treatment applicator devicegenerally comprises an elastomeric bandthat has a length which is greater than the width of a user's body. In this way the elastomeric bandcan be extended across the user's back. The elastomeric bandis stretchable to reduce stress and fatigue on the user's joints when the userextends the elastomeric bandacross their back. Furthermore, tension in the elastomeric bandwhen the elastomeric bandis stretched enables the elastomeric bandto be compressed against the user's back. The elastomeric bandis comprised of a fluid impermeable material, including but not being limited to rubber or silicone, thereby enabling the elastomeric bandto be exposed to fluid skin treatmentwithout absorbing the fluid skin treatment.
A blockis provided and the blockis attached to the elastomeric band. The blockis centrally located on the elastomeric bandthereby enabling the blockto be placed against the user's backwhen the userstretches the elastomeric bandacross their back. The blockhas a coupled surfacewhich is attached to a front surfaceof the elastomeric band. Additionally, the blockis centrally located between a first endand a second endof the elastomeric bandand the blockis centrally located between a top edgeof the elastomeric bandand a bottom edgeof the elastomeric band.
The blockhas an outer edgewhich extends between the coupled surfaceand an exposed surfaceof the block. The outer edgehas a lower portionlying on a plane which is oriented perpendicular to the coupled surface. Additionally, the outer edgehas an upper portionwhich angles inwardly between the lower portionand the exposed surface. In this way the exposed surfacehas a surface area that is less than the surface area of the coupled surface.
A plurality of bristlesis provided and each of the plurality of bristlesis attached to the block. In this way the plurality of bristlescan be pressed against the user's backwhen the userstretches the elastomeric bandacross their back. Each of the plurality of bristlesis comprised of a fluid impermeable material, including but not being limited to rubber or silicone, thereby enabling each of the plurality of bristlesto be exposed to the fluid skin treatmentwithout absorbing the fluid skin treatment. In this way the bristlesare enabled to spread the fluid skin treatmentacross the user's back. Additionally, each of the plurality of bristlesis comprised of a deformable material to enable the plurality of bristlesto resist abrading the user's backthereby enhancing comfort for the userwhen the plurality of bristlesis urged across the user's back.
Each of the plurality of bristleshas a coupled endwhich is coupled to the exposed surfaceof the block. The plurality of bristlesis arranged in a plurality of columnsand rowson the exposed surfaceof the blockwhich covers the full surface area of the exposed surface. Additionally, each of the plurality of bristleshas a free endwhich tapers to a point to enhance applying the fluid skin treatmentto the skinon the user's back. The fluid skin treatmentmay comprise skin lotion, body wash, skin oil or any other type of fluid that is commonly applied to human skin for health and beauty purposes.
In use, the fluid skin treatmentis applied to the plurality of bristlesand each of the first endand the second endof the elastomeric bandis gripped to enable the userto extend the elastomeric bandacross their back. In this way the plurality of bristlescan be pressed against the user's backthereby enabling the fluid skin treatmentto be applied to the user's back. The userurges the elastomeric bandto travel back and forth across their backto spread the fluid skin treatmentacross their backin a manner that would not be possible without assistance. In this way the usercan apply skin lotion, for example, on the entire area of their backwithout requiring assistance.
With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.
Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word “comprising” is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded. A reference to an element by the indefinite article “a” does not exclude the possibility that more than one of the element is present, unless the context clearly requires that there be only one of the elements.
