The present application claims priority to Korean Patent Application No. 10-2024-0083071, filed on Jun. 25, 2024, the entire contents of which are incorporated herein for all purposes by this reference.
The present disclosure relates to a bathtub base plate having a structure facilitating mounting of a bathtub. More particularly, the present disclosure relates to a bathtub base plate having a structure facilitating mounting of a bathtub, the bathtub base plate being capable of being easily fitted to the bathtub so that mounting may be conveniently performed and the mounting time may be reduced, the bathtub base plate being configured such that a bottom of the bathtub is capable of being mounted inclinedly by only mounting the bathtub on the bathtub base plate since an upper surface of the bathtub base plate has a gradient, and the bathtub base plate being capable of providing a function of reducing resonance by forming a space between the bathtub and a bathroom floor by fitting a column to the bathtub base plate.
Generally, when a bathtub is to be mounted and constructed in a bathroom, a current construction method in a wet manner in which the bathtub is mounted by a skilled technician by using mortar (sand, cement), masonry bricks, water, and so on may be used. However, it is difficult for an unskilled technician to mount the bathtub by using the current construction method in the wet manner. In order to solve the problem described above, recently, a bathtub is mounted in a dry manner in which a support plate is placed on a bathroom floor and the bathtub is mounted on the support plate.
The bathtub is often molded and manufactured from an FRP material, and the bathtub mainly has a structure in which a rib is formed on a bottom of the bathtub. As proposed in Korean Utility Model Publication No. 20-1995-0032166 and Korean Patent No. 10-1951597, even for an existing bathtub provided with a rib, when the bathtub is mounted, there is a method in which the bathtub is mounted by placing a support plate (a base plate, a bed plate, and so on) on a concrete bathroom floor rather than placing mortar. However, such a support plate has a complex structure, so that the manufacturing cost is increased. Furthermore, since excessive mounting work time is required, there is a problem that the labor cost is increased.
Furthermore, after the bathtub is mounted on the bathroom floor, dull thumping noises occur from a bottom surface of the bathtub when water is filled inside the bathtub or when a user moves inside the bathtub while bathing. Such noises are caused by a space between a backup layer applied to a bottom surface of the bathtub and an MDF material laid on a reference surface or a space formed by reinforcement ribs. Along with these generated noises, there was also a problem that a noise resonance phenomenon in which the noises echo inside the bathtub occurs.
In addition, when the bathtub is mounted in the bathroom, the bottom of the bathtub is required to be inclined so that drainage is realized through a drain port. Therefore, there is a difficulty in adjusting a height of the bathtub by using an adjustment screw or an adjustment footrest, so that there is a problem that the construction period is increased accordingly.
In order to solve the problems during mounting a conventional bathtub described above, the inventor of the present disclosure researched and developed a bathtub base plate having a structure facilitating mounting of a bathtub, the bathtub base plate being configured such that a bottom of the bathtub has a gradient by only coupling the bathtub and the bathtub base plate to each other, the bathtub base plate being configured such that the bathtub and the bathtub base plate are capable of being mounted easily so that the construction period and the construction cost are capable of being reduced, the bathtub base plate being capable of reinforcing the strength of the bottom of the bathtub, and the bathtub base plate being configured such that a thick space part is provided between the bathtub and a bathroom floor with a low cost so that a function of reducing a resonant sound is capable of being provided.
According to an aspect of the present disclosure, there is provided a bathtub base plate having a structure facilitating mounting of a bathtub, the bathtub base plate including: a bathtub including a body in which water is capable of being accommodated therein, the bathtub including a bottom surface having a lower portion thereof provided with a gradient; and a bathtub base plate body configured such that a double structure is realized by coupling the bathtub base plate body to the bathtub, the bathtub base plate body having an upper surface provided with a gradient so as to correspond to the bottom surface of the bathtub, and the bathtub base plate body forming a space part between the bathtub and a bathroom floor so that a function of reducing noise and resonance is provided.
According to an aspect of the present disclosure, the bathtub base plate may further include a column coupled to a lower portion of the bathtub base plate body so that the space part having a higher height is capable of being formed between the bathtub and the bathroom floor.
According to an aspect of the present disclosure, a column fitting groove into which the column and a reinforcement rib configured to reinforce the strength of the bathtub base plate body are inserted may be formed in a bottom of the bathtub base plate body.
According to an aspect of the present disclosure, a shock absorbing pad may be further provided on a lower end portion of the column so that a shock absorbing function is capable of being provided.
According to an aspect of the present disclosure, a first side of the bottom surface of the bathtub may be provided with a drain port such that water is capable of being drained therethrough, a lower portion of the bottom surface of the bathtub may be provided with a border rib that protrudes vertically on the bottom surface of the bathtub and may be provided with a bathtub reinforcement rib that is disposed such that each bathtub reinforcement rib crosses each other and is positioned perpendicular to each other so as to reinforce the strength of the border rib, and the bathtub base plate body may be provided with a fitting groove having a shape corresponding to a shape of each of the border rib and the bathtub reinforcement rib of the bathtub such that the border rib and the bathtub reinforcement rib are capable of being fitted to the fitting groove.
The bathtub baseplate of the present disclosure provides effects described below.
As the groove is formed in the bathtub base plate body, there is an effect that the reinforcement rib formed on the bottom surface of the bathtub is capable of being conveniently fitted to and inserted into the groove.
Since a double structure in which the bathtub base plate and the bottom of the bathtub are in close contact with each other is realized, a strength reinforcement effect is provided.
Since the upper surface of the bathtub base plate body has the gradient, there is an effect that the bathtub is capable of being easily mounted by only coupling the bathtub to the bathtub base plate body such that the bottom of the bathtub is inclined so that water is capable of being smoothly drained.
The thick space part is provided between the bathtub and the bathroom floor with a low cost, and the function of reducing the resonant sound is provided.
Since the column is inserted into the bottom of the bathtub base plate body, there is an effect that the space part is capable of being provided at a desired height by a constructor.
