Detailed Description

Complete technical specification and implementation details from the patent document.

This application claims priority to PCT Application No. PCT/CN2024/080455, filed on Mar. 7, 2024, which is hereby incorporated by reference in its entirety.

The present invention relates to the technical field of lighters, in particular to a structure for connecting and fixing a lighter's core assembly.

Fuel oil lighters, such as lighters branded as Zippo, have many characteristics, for instance, reuse, wind-proof, and variability in casing's appearance, so they become a people's favorite. The fuel oil lighter mainly consists of two parts, a casing and a core assembly; such a design makes it convenient for the core assembly to fill with fuel oil, but also brings some defects. At the moment of filling with fuel oil and replace a flint, it is necessary for the core assembly to be removed from the casing, except such a moment the core assembly remains inside the casing, so as to, on the one hand, make it easy for the core assembly to be plugged and unplugged, and on the other hand, enable the relative position of the core assembly inside the casing to keep fixed for use. However, as the core assembly is frequently plugged and unplugged, as well as an upward force is exerted on the core assembly during the opening and closing of an top lid of the casing, the core assembly loosens with respect to the casing after using for a period of time, not only affecting the direct sealing between the core assembly and the casing, but also causing the core assembly to leap up while opening and closing the top lid of the casing. In order to facilitate filling with fuel oil, for most fuel lighters, an oil filling hole is designed to be open at the bottom of the core assembly, and only covered by a piece of felt; in addition, because a flint ejector pin screw protrudes from the bottom of the core assembly, the bottom of the core assembly cannot touch the bottom of the casing, resulting in a gap. As a result, there is no other way but lie on close contact between the core assembly and the side wall of the casing, the kerosene evaporates quickly in case of loosening the core assembly and the casing, not only shortening the service time of the fuel oil lighter, but also polluting the environment.

The Chinese utility model patent (Application number: CN202021939802.6; Patent name: connection structure for lighters), and the Chinese utility model patent (Application number: CN200720154642.2; and Patent name: lighter and casing, hinge and core assembly thereof) give a technical solution to increase friction between a casing and a core assembly by adding an elastic piece between the casing and the core assembly; however, these two technical solutions are still restrictive, that is, they cannot solve the problem of causing the core assembly to leap up while opening and closing the top lid of the casing.
